• Monolights

These are one of the most popular lighting equipment popular amongst photographers. These are also known as studio flashes, and are extremely helpful to turn a studio setting in soft, classic or quality variants. These are also commonly used by attaching umbrellas to these. And you won’t need an additional power generator as both light-head and power-source would work in the same space.

• Battery Powered Lights

While you would have read about different lighting equipment above, all those usually work with a lighting source that needs electrical supply. However, how would you manage if you are shooting on outdoor location or when/where you don’t have any power source? This is where battery powered lighting equipment comes to the rescue. There are several that you can find in battery powered lighting kits, and rechargeable-battery powered flash head systems. Ensure you should pick these depending on your precise requirements.

• Speedlights

We have mentioned this above also. These are portable external flash lighting that are lightweight and are used to create dispersed lighting finish, along with soft-boxes and umbrellas. These are usually used when you are capturing action shoots and still clicks.

• Strobe Lights

These aren’t as portable as speedlights and can be a bit on the expensive side compared to those. However, these usually produce approximately double lighting than the speedlights. It is powered with AC power and also provides fast recycle times.
