In the heart of the Czech Republic, just 20 km from Prague-Smíchov, surrounded by forests and decorated with a picturesque pond in its own castle park, is Chateau Trnová – a place where history and modernity dance in timeless harmony. Founded in 1868, this charming and renovated castle has witnessed countless stories and historical events.

The surrounding nature once moved František Škroup, the composer of the Czech national anthem, to create a melody that still resonates through generations. It is said that František went down through the forest to the ridge of the rock above the Vltava to places still called the Pulpit. The view of the Vltava valley, the surrounding woods, meadows and fields inspired him when composing the music for Fidlovačka. The closing song of the blind violinist later became the Czech national anthem.

In the years 1908–1911, the legendary opera singer Ema Destinnová visited the castle. After the revolution, in 1989, the estate was declared a national cultural monument. In 2006, it was completely renovated by Ivan and Lucie Pilip.

In 2020, Markéta and Finn Hansen became the new owners of this historical gem and decided to write new chapters in its charming story.

Come celebrate Mother's Day at our castle, where delicious gourmet delicacies, live jazz music and an atmosphere full of joy await everyone.

This unique experience is prepared for guests of all ages. We also think of our smallest guests. Creative creation will be prepared for children from 3 years old.

Castle stay lots of options. Whether you are traveling with children or as a couple, your time at the castle will fly by like water. There are more magical moments than you might expect.

Every day you can wander around the grass, exercise outside, swim in the pool, relax in the hot tub on the roof of the castle or simply lie down on one of our sunbeds. You can also have one of our lemonades or a summer cocktail. The castle park also offers opportunities for fun and games.
