Boeing ranked No. 1 internship program in the US
Yello and WayUp named Boeing as the top company in their WayUp 100 ranking of internship programs.

Boeing has been named No. 1 on WayUp’s Top 100 Internship Programs list for 2022.
The ranking, which was compiled by WayUp in partnership with Yello, was determined based on daily votes (30%) and a judging panel’s scores (70%). The panel, made up of industry leaders outside of WayUp, awarded Boeing the top position based on the company’s efforts to:
- Take accountability for driving diversity, equity and inclusion, and setting goals to increase representation in the program.
- Make sure that interns have access to development, mentorship and networking, as well as full-time employment.
- Commit to hosting internships throughout the year and around the world.
“When you are here, your No. 1 priority is to learn, and stay hungry,” said Jessica Grillo, an IT&DA application programmer/developer intern based in Philadelphia. “You are never done learning. This will be the best experience of your life because you will see how bright your future is and how far Boeing will take you.”
In 2022 more than 1,500 students joined the hybrid intern program, representing 272 universities across 47 states and 55 in other countries. Roughly 71% of interns return for a second opportunity, demonstrating the value of the experiences and treatment they receive at Boeing.
What are some things interns can expect? Quality hackathons, hearing directly from the CEO and leading research projects that affect company leadership.
“The talents our interns bring make us a stronger business, and the investments we make in their development are a crucial part of building our own future success,” said Kari Schwark, Human Resources global university recruiting leader. “This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support from hosting managers, business unit, functional, and university focals, global talent acquisition, and, of course, our interns.”
