LIVE UPDATES: Snoqualmie Pass reopens after hours-long closure; freezing temps overnight
SEATTLE - Lowland snow blanketed much of Western Washington on Tuesday, mainly from Seattle to the north. Officials said to expect compact snow on many roadways with icy slush in places.
FOX 13 chief meteorologist Lisa Villegas said temperature are expected to be freezing overnight into Wednesday, so roads with snow and ice are expected to be slick.
Temperatures will remain below freezing through at least Thursday before temperatures bounce back up toward 50 degrees this weekend.
Major road closures
I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass has reoepend from North Bend to Ellensburg after hours-long closures on Tuesday due to spinouts.
At Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, hundreds of flights were canceled and dozens more delayed.
