About the Andover Audio SpinDeck

Eric A.

A versatile, easy-to-use turntable

The Andover Audio SpinDeck is designed for easy setup and integration with a modular Andover Audio "Spin System" (more on that later). It's a manual belt-drive turntable that features a factory-mounted Ortofon OM-5e cartridge on an 8.6" aluminum tonearm — with preset counterweight, tracking force, and anti-skating force for simplified setup.

RCA cables with gold-plated terminals are pre-attached, so you can connect easily to a phono preamp, receiver or amplifier with phono input, powered stereo speakers, or the Andover Audio SpinBase. It's a very versatile entry-level turntable.

Build a space-saving, great sounding Andover Audio system

Andover Audio's modular system allows you to construct a complete sound system vertically — with components stacked on top of one another. For example you could build a system with a SpinSub powered subwoofer neatly tucked in the lower shelf of the SpinStand record stand (sold separately). There's also a shelf to hold the SpinBase (sold separately), with the SpinDeck resting on the very top. This configuration neatly and cleanly keeps all of your records and "Spin System" equipment in one place.

About Andover Audio

Andover Audio is the electronics equivalent of a musical supergroup. Audio experts hailing from Cambridge, Bose, Harman, and other legendary companies brought their talents together at Andover in 2012 — originally to provide complementary services to other companies. Since then, the company has gradually turned their unique mixture of design, engineering, and manufacturing knowhow toward the creation of their own product line — one that artfully blends exceptional sound with distinctive design.

Features

SpinDeck Turntable: The SpinDeck turntable was made by Pro-Ject in Europe, exclusively for Andover Audio. You can pair the SpinDeck with Andover's SpindBase, SpinSub, and SpinStand (all sold separately) for the ultimate compact vinyl-listening setup. The SpinDeck also works great with other audio systems.

Belt Driven (2-Speeds): The Andover SpinDeck turntable features a quiet-running synchronous motor with silicone belt and precision pulley to drive the low-resonance platter. The turntable supports 33-1/3 and 45 rpm speeds.

Pre-Set Tonearm & Pre-Mounted Cartridge: The Andover Spindeck comes with its cartridge pre-mounted and all critical adjustments factory set. An Ortofon OM-5e MM cartridge is pre-mounted on the turntable's straight 8.6" aluminium saphire-bearing tonearm. The included counterweight is also set and ready to go out of the box.

Low-Resonance Design: The Andover SpinkDeck employs a low-resonance plinth & 12" platter, both constructed of MDF. Special feet effectively decouple the plinth from the mounting surface. The turntable also includes a felt mat.

Attached Audio Cable & Power Cord: The turntable features fixed 43" stereo RCA cable and ground wire. The turntable is also equipped with an attached 31" AC power cord (2-prong).

Dust Cover: The Andover SpinDeck comes supplied with a dust cover to prevent dust build-up on the turntable.

Q
Why no signal to noise spec listed? I would want to know that before purchasing.

A
Not sure why this isn't listed on our website but we do provide a link to the manual under "what's in the box". The signal to noise is listed in the manual as 65dB for the Andover Audio SpinDeck.
