IT might have had a 24 hour rain delay, but Christmas by the Beach still brought in a lot of festive fun.
The council-run event was due to be held at James Meehan Reserve in Dee Why on Friday afternoon, but wet weather forced its cancellation.
With a quick ring around to performers, council was able to reschedule it to the very next day and, luckily, Santa was also able to come on the new date too.
Families young and old gathered in the park with picnics to celebrate Christmas, with a choir and performers entertaining on stage.
