Several artisan fairs and art shows are set in the region this fall:

Lancaster presents 'The Beauty Around Us'

LANCASTER - The Lancaster Community Center and the Lancaster Cultural Council have secured a grant from the Mass. Cultural Council to host an art exhibit showcasing area artists and bring awareness to the community about the rich culture of art in the region.

This open, juried exhibition will celebrate the theme “The Beauty Around Us.” It will be held at the Lancaster Town Hall from Nov. 12 through Nov. 21.

Assabet Craft Fair

MARLBOROUGH - The fifth annual Assabet Valley High School indoor craft fair is Saturday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is free; in addition to a variety of vendors and crafters, there will be food concessions and raffles.Search Assets

The fair supports the Assabet Valley chapter of SkillsUSA.

The school, which includes students from Clinton and Berlin, is located at 215 Fitchburg St., Marlborough.

Friends of Conant Arts & Crafts Show Nov. 20

STERLING - The annual Friends of the Conant Public Library Arts & Crafts Show will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Church, 6 Meetinghouse Hill Road, in Sterling center. Masks will be required.

Holiday and gift items will fill the main hall of the First Church. Look for signs in the main hall for directions to two additional rooms.

All the items at this juried fair are handmade by local craftspeople and artists. The unique offerings include photography, ornaments, wood products, jewelry, painted bottles with lights, hand-sewn bags, knitted accessories and teddy bears, children’s items, succulent dish gardens, caned chairs, note cards, beeswax candles, alpaca products, aromatherapy pillows, wood signs, jams and jellies, hand-painted slate and tiles, soaps and creams, herbal products, home decor, hair accessories, wind chimes, floral arrangements, homemade dog cookies, scarves, aprons, handwoven baskets, pottery, terrariums, handmade wreaths, metal art, felted trees, and scratchboard art.

Wrapped cheese, cookies, bars, and tea breads will also be offered for sale.

The $2 admission will support programs at the Conant Public Library.
