Dirty Crazy Bad #1

Dirty Crazy Bad

Rate this book
A new dark college reverse harem romance from the USA Today & WSJ bestselling author of The Sainthood Series.

In the secret society of The Luminaries, no sin will go unpunished…

Sleeping with my boyfriend’s best friend, behind his girlfriend’s back, probably wasn’t my smartest idea.

But Jase is mine, and it’s about time Julia knew it.

Attending Lowell University was supposed to be a fresh start. A chance to end all the sneaking around and make our relationship official.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Julia is digging her claws into Jase.

My boyfriend, Chad, is getting in deeper with a local gang.

And my loathsome new stepbrother, Ares, has just moved in.

Ares despises Chad and Jase, and the feeling is mutual. As their rivalry escalates, Ares seems determined to use me as a pawn, and I’m trapped in the middle. It doesn’t help that he’s hot AF, knows exactly how to push my buttons, and my body hasn’t gotten the memo he’s off-limits.

I wish that were the least of my worries.

Pride. Wrath. Lust. Envy. Greed. Gluttony. Sloth.

My life turns upside down the moment the dark secret society of The Luminaries is revealed to me.

Everything I thought I knew was a lie.

Now, I have lost all control over my future, and a heart-breaking new reality emerges.

One where lovers become enemies, enemies become allies, and corrupting sinners to sin is my only way to survive.
***
This is a 138k-word full-length novel and book one of two. It cannot be read as a stand-alone, and it ends with a cliff-hanger. This book contains mature content including cursing and graphic scenes with some dub-con/non-con. This is a dark romance, and it may contain triggers for some readers.

wow I thought I really liked this author

I was wrong. So wrong. Those triggers she can’t give in the beginning of the book without spoiling it? R*pe. It happens to the fmc 3x by page 350. And the beginnings of another to one of the male mc’s is part of the cliffhanger this book ends in. Oh, but two of those three the fmc goes through? File them under cheating instead, cue the eye roll. We really need to, as a society, wrap our minds around the fact that no means no and it’s still cheating no matter how attracted to the person r*ping you, you are. She literally says no, fights back, bites him, kicks and screams, the whole nine yards, but because her body enjoys it to a degree because of the aforementioned attraction, she wasn’t r*ped but cheating on her boyfriend who then calls and treats her like a whore. Even better, that third one she went through? Happens to everyone during Luminary initiation, the only difference? She’s almost 19 when initiated, everyone else gets initiated at TEN YEARS OLD. Real nice.

I have othe complaints, but overall, if you can move past the above, it’s a well written story, technical skill wise. I don’t like any of the characters which is a first for me, but yeah. Proceed with caution.

Tumultuous, gritty, and ultra sexy, Dirty Crazy Bad is yet another wickedly addictive masterpiece from the deliciously brilliant and twisted mind of Siobhan Davis. I AM RAVENOUS FOR THIS STORY! Siobhan seamlessly intermingles emotional complexity and delightful depravity into a heady and mesmerizing concoction. I was deliriously consumed from the start to finish, obsessed in every way with these complicated characters and their twisted world- the angst, the steam, all the twists, and all that yummy drama! It's dirty, it's crazy, and its the best kind of bad. Dirty Crazy Bad is pure FIRE, and I'm thirsty for more!

This book is literally just SO juicy. And i won’t reveal a word about the plot but it is shocking moment after shocking moment, twist after twist, devious and dark situations over and over. This might in fact be Siobhan’s darkest storyline to date- it’s like Rydeville meets Sainthood but on CRACK. Dark, delicious, insane crack. And the characters are so flawed, so twisted. They are equal parts endearing and deplorable, captivating and confusing. Honestly, most of them gave me so much whiplash that I’d go from hating them in one minute to loving them the next to hating them later. Needless to say, there’s LOADS of drama, intrigue,

Our heroine Ashley is one of my favorite Siobhan heroine’s to date. She’s crappy, resilient, sassy and tough- but also she has a strong vulnerability streak that makes her relatable. She loves hard, she hates harder, and she’s put through the literal reinger in this story. Siobhan does NOT hold back in the insanity this poor girl endures- the heartbreak first and foremost. Rooting for and relating to her is pretty much the only thing you can rely on in this story, because all our heroes swing the pendulum from being atrocious villains to dreamboats. Fortunately, Ashley is pretty fierce and seems to not only handle these three guys but also the insanity happening around her. It’s bonkers yall- totally bonkers. But I just LOVED how much she owns who she is.

In terms of romance, ah, I'm so all over the place. Siobhan dives straight in and things are always changing. At the beginning I loathed one guy and loved another, it was something else altogether in the end. It’s a harem unlike any I’ve ready, but everyone has so many secrets and at times are all working against one another- so this is not going to be an easy path forward. Truly I’m not sure any of these characters can be trusted, but each of the guys is compelling in their own way. Siobhan has a way of making each of them charismatic yet deplorable. And holy moly do these characters keep me on my toes- secret agendas, deceit, depravity. I felt like my brain was going to explode, my jaw would permanently be on the floor with my stomach. But I loved every minute of this wild ride.

Please heed the trigger warnings carefully- we’ve got an elite society that literally give zero F’s about what they do to keep their tight control, we’ve got lots of taboo and twisted situations, and we have some pretty traumatic ones too. We’ve got so much danger, lies, suspense, and flat out evil in this story. Even the twists have twists- that’s how naughty and devious Siobhan is in this epic duet.

Needless to say, expect a rough and wild cliffhanger - I DESPERATELY need more! The darkest, most entertaining fare from Siobhan to date, and I am here for it!

I have so many feelings. I’m turned on. I’m pissed off. I’m perplexed.

Ready for her first year at Lowell University, Ashley Shaw moves in with her boyfriend, Chad Baldwin. As they christen the living room, they’re greeted by her stepbrother and tormentor, Ares Haynes. And just like that, one by one, things start to fall apart.

Dirty Crazy Bad is a story with so many layers to peel back. I love that when you think you’ve peeled back all the layers, there’s a landmine waiting to fcuk up all your theories. As always, there is intricate world building and multidimensional characters

I love the way, Ashley owns her sexuality. She’s strong and confident, a total badass!

Ares is the quintessential bad boy oozing big D energy. He’s the guy you love to hate, but still want to pound you into next week.

Dirty Crazy Bad in 10 words or less : over the top, dirty, twisty, fucked up, frustrating, cringy, crazy

While it's not perfect and definitely far away from realistic, I'm absolutely reading the next one! I need to know what's going to happen to the characters, and I'm ready for whatever insane shit the author is going to throw our way in the second part of this duet. I'm also ready for all the dp and group sex I'm sure is bound to happen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just keeping it real. 😂

The title of this book checks out.

Dirty, Crazy, Bad is the perfect title of this book. It was exactly all of those things. It was like watching a soap opera on steroids. All the plot twists gave me a migraine. There is a secret cult, cliche initiation ritual, secret baby, cheating, mention of 10 year olds getting sexually assaulted by old men, random murders that don't make sense, lying, drugs, blood drinking, dub con, forced marriages, attempted murder, car accident, assassination attempt, parents watching their daughter have dub con sex, and so much more. These things i mentioned barely scratch the surface of all the dirty, crazy, and bad. I would probably throw in the word stupid just to be completely accurate here though. I realize I'll probably get the random troglodyte on Goodreads yelling in all caps about reading the trigger warnings and how my review made them go out and buy the book. I couldnt care less about that and Im not trying to be malicious here. This is just my honest opinion so take it with a grain of salt. Im not saying these things necessarily offended me but the silly way they were all introduced every 5 minutes did. Throwing every drama that has ever been created into a book doesn't mean it is exciting. It means it's cringe worthy. The only thing missing was the evil twin quite frankly. I need a sliver of realism when I read. I also don't need nearly every sentence to end with the person who is speaking to use the name of the person they are speaking to. The characters were shallow and blah. The plot was insane drama. The dialogue was a mixture of Lifetime movie and Spanish soap opera with a dash of teenage girl hissy fits. I don't care enough about the characters to read book 2. I feel like I know the guy that helped me pick out tires for 5 minutes today better than the characters I spent reading about for hours. Chad is a football jock who likes to party. Jase is a seemingly confused Voyeur/exhibitionist. Ares is an obsessive and angry part time nudist. Ashley is a indecisive nymphomaniac that has the emotional range of a 13 year old girl. They were one dimensional and boring. I guess that might be why the plot was so nuts. I realize this won't be a popular opinion but this book was not for me. I don't really have any triggers except for cheesy. Give me all the dark but when you throw in the ridiculous I am done. This was dirty, crazy, bad, and stupid.

What a shitty start to the new year. Don't get how this has such a high rating. Def not gonna read book 2 because the MCs are misogynistic, immature af, slut shaming and cheating cunts. Fuck this shit🤮🤮🤮

Safety Squad:
- cheating/infidelity (between MCs + other characters)
- lots of OW/OM/mean girl drama
- RH
- college romance
- secret society

College. Ashley's new beginning. The next step is going to be even better than the last. But it's soon clear her college experience isn't going to be what she had hoped. She's losing her loves, her stepbrother is trying to destroy her, and her mother kept secrets from her that have come to light. Secrets she can't escape and now control her life. Control the world.

Can a book make you blush? This one might. Ashley joins a long line of strong female characters created by Siobhan Davis. Women who all own their sexuality and enjoy sexy times with their hot Alphas. Ashley wears the carnal crown. She's naughty, confident, eager, adventurous, insatiable, and a screamer. So be warned, this book is H.O.T. But it's so much more. This is one of my favorite Siobhan Davis books of all time. It's like a cross between Rydeville and the Sainthood. It's original, complex, and twisted. There could be triggers since there is more than one instance of dubious consent. It is not gratuitous. This is a book with shades of darkness. The characters are not always likable but they are believable. They make mistakes or show questionable judgment, exhibit weakness, and some are just evil but there are also displays of love, strength, and bravery. In true Siobhan fashion, there are twists and turns and then some more twists on the twists and turns. It kept me on edge and made that little ball of dread form in my stomach. I caught myself holding my breath at times and I won't confirm it , but I may have cursed the author. It is a duet, so there is still so much more story to come but it does end at the conclusion of one story arc, so while incomplete, it's not a gutwrenching cliffhanger. It is one of the best books I have read this year and I am impatiently waiting for the next chapter. In the meantime, I may be starting the Ares Appreciation Club with special appearances by Balthazar.

Dude! This one hit the spot! Flipping wild! Intense, captivating, smexy and left me guessing until the very end! I'm still guessing and waiting not so patiently for the conclusion to this book! Holy hell so thankfully it's only a duet haha!

This story was chocked full of a gritty storyline that was never lacking. There was lots of it, but the author made it easy to follow. The lineup of characters were pretty unhinged at times. All the time hot though!!

Ashley is resilient and sassy. She has the best of both worlds, until she doesn't.
Long time boyfriend Chad, his bestie Jase and her stepbro Ares are quite the mix.
It's not all as it would seem. There is so much tension, chemistry, lust and seduction at play here.
Not everyone can play nice or play together. Some are out for themselves and some just might have your best interest in mind.

I love how in a book you sometimes love, loathe and hate characters. This one had that!
Can't freaking wait until the next book comes out! I have so many theories as to what's gonna happen and I want to find out now!!

Do I need to say it? My level of love is right there with the Sainthood series, and if I could give more stars, I so would… Ash and her guys? They’re in a real world of shite and in desperate need of reassessing. The positive and negative for Ash? She’s led by her… You get the idea! But she owns it, and this girl is honest to a fault. If only those around her could claim the same because EVERYONE is lying, and when it’s all exposed, that’s when life goes off the rails. It’s interesting seeing who has your back when that happens. Who steps up and who doesn’t. And where that leaves you when the dust settles because it’s far from over in this game they’ve all unwittingly been playing… I also love loving the antiheroes because they’re just so morally gray! They’ve got #reasons, and what you see isn’t always what you get.

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: RH, secret society
Angst: 😱😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

Dirty Crazy Bad is secret society, RH filled with secrets, lies, twists and turns, and TONS of hot smexy times. In the beginning of the book, I kind of felt like I had been plopped into a story already in progress. I believe a lot of these characters had previous interactions in the other RH series, but I'm not sure 🤷🏻‍♀️. It wasn't too hard to catch up though. Story story is super heavy with the secret society stuff, probably a little too much for my personal tastes, but I enjoyed it overall and definitely want to follow through to the conclusion.

Infuriating

There was not one part of this book I liked. Literally not one part. The plot, the characters, the abuse, the sexual assaults, the cheating, mentions of child rape, nothing in this book is okay. Which makes this book infuriating. The book starts on sexual assault and ends on sexual assault. I kept reading hoping there would be some type of redeeming quality sadly its over 500 pages of things no woman should have to go through. Neither of the three men deserve her or protect her. The plot premise is stupid as fuck. Anyone who thinks sexual assault is romance and sexy needs therapy or jail time. INFURIATING!!!!!!!!

The title sums it up pretty nicely, especially the part where it says “bad”.

This was not for me and I felt like I needed to read a whole other series first because there was a lot going on where it felt like I missed the first few (important) meetings.

Also, one of the MC’s names is Chad. Chaaaaad. Ugh.

Cliffhanger : Yes

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 5/10

Overall Opinion :
Siobhan Davis is back with her dark romance ! This time it's a dark High school RH duet with a lot of triggers like non con and dub con with bullying too. I am so ready for it all!

This one was a wild ride. If you have read Siobhan before then you know what to expect and how she keeps dangling is over the edge in her books before throwing us into that epic ending and twists! There is so much drama in this one though. I liked the characters and the storyline is a bit intriguing to me because I have never read anything like that before . Totally recommending this one to all the dark romance loving people out there. If Dark High school RH bully romance is your thing with a Queen heroine , this is your thing!

The plot twists and angst in this one is sublime and exceptional… beyond all my expectations. Siobhan made a statement this is her darkest book yet… and from what I’ve read of hers so far… she isn’t joking!!! Dark, Dangerous, Twisty and so many WTF moments!!!

The prologue will draw you in and keep you turning the pages until you are done! I am in shock from the ending but even more anticipating for the next book now!

Ashley is a great FMC and I love how she developed from The Sainthood series! I’m glad she got her own books!!! Chad and Jase are sexy as hell but damn if I didn’t go through my emotions with them… like them, love them, hate them, appreciate them, questioning them! But above all else understanding them! And my boy Ares… holy hot hell!!! I can’t wait to get more of him in the next book!!!

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥THIS IS A MUST READ FOR ANYONE WHO LOVE DARK AND DANGEROUS ROMANCE!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Holey Moley. This has to be my favorite book from Siobhan. It's like takeing my 2 favorite series( Sainthood and Rydeville Elite) and mashing them togeather. The prologue is hot and will have you wanting more. The story line is great many twist and turn and entanglement of different webs and secrets. I enjoyed how she included characters from other books.

Ashley is a very strong lead. She vocal, sassy and wont take cramp from anyone. Then you have Chad and Jase. They are best friends that had grew up together and shared Ashley. Both of them are hot are hot. But that's not it. Ares has risen above all of the male characters. He is conniving, sneaky all around bad that I want and need more of. So cant wait for book 2 to come out so i can get more of Ares. He's like an addiction you can't/wont give up.

I’m seriously stunned. Shocked. Tongue tied. Speechless. Can’t even properly articulate into words how crazy this book was! It was SO SO SO good!! Drama filled, messy love. Like messy messy messy. I will say (as a member of the community) it was one of the most realistic representations of a polyamorous relationship! I don’t have any idea how it’s all going to pan out, it is what I like to call collectors edition whychoose, as the FMC just picks the guys up along the way. 😂😂 But it was spicy off the bat, the underlying plot is CRAZY! There are so many twists & secrets, revelations & betrayals! I can’t go into too much detail without spoiling stuff. There was A LOT of certain trigger lines close to being crossed, I would definitely message the author about if you have specific ones. But seriously. Amazing amazing read!! I’m so invested!!

If I could give this book more than five stars, hands down, I would. This book owned me, consumed me and made me blush. One piece of advice, this book should not be read in public.

Dirty Crazy Bad went above and beyond my expectations in every way. It's dark, raw and will invoke a slew of emotions. Shock, happiness, anger, sadness, gut-wrenching turmoil, surprise. I guarantee you will feel it all. The amount of angst in this book will have you sitting on the edge of your seat the entire time.

Ashley. She's an incredible heroine that you will be cheering for. She is confident, strong, uninhibited, and smart. She has an estranged relationship with her mother and all the secrets and lies are revealed. I'm absolutely cheering for her to be victorious in her battle. Oh, what a battle it will be.

The guys. The boyfriend, the boyfriend's best friend and the step-brother all play leading roles here. I'm not saying everything is rainbows and unicorns, but just know that things are not exactly as they seem. The chemistry between Ashley and her guys is palatable on page. Again, I will warn you to read in the privacy of your own home. These are not mere boys, they are men that will have you slip into reverie thinking about them. Heart palpitations and racing thoughts guaranteed.

The author has intricately woven past characters from The Sainthood series and Rydeville Elite. It is not essential to read those to understand, but you'll want to after getting a glimpse of these side characters. In fact, if those series had a book baby, Dirty Crazy Bad would be the offspring.

The complex nature of these characters make them so real. You may not like them (might even loath), but trust the journey Ms. Davis intends to take you on. Reality mixes with her devilish imagination to bring you a story that you will devour.

This is a duet, but one story arc has been answered. The ending will just make you crave more. The short wait for the conclusion will give you time to make your way through The Sainthood and Rydeville Elite series, if you haven't read those already.

This is a dark romance, please heed the authors warnings.

I was given an advance readers copy of this book and have decided to write a voluntary honest review. Holy Crap wow I'm still sitting here thinking about all that read and I'm just speechless because I have so. Much I want to say but I also don't want to give away anything so I'm going try to get keep my review as spoiler free as I can. Okay first of all this book is a complete mind F#uck complete. Everything I thought I knew by end was nothing has it was or I thought it would be. Now as for some of the characters I absolutely love Ashley she reminds me soo much a Harlow it's crazy they could be sisters. Now for Guys I love Ares I know a lot of you might disagree but I do. Jase God I want to smack him more than once. Chad now he is great guy. I'm really curious about Baz and knight. Now I need the last book right away. I also really love Bree. Hate Julia just hate her hope she dies!! It's mean to say but it's how I desperately feel about her.

This was absolutely awful. I tried to continue reading, but there was no way I could persevere through the distasteful clusterfuck this book provided.
There were so many mistakes here. And sometimes mistakes can be overlooked - if there is substance or a good plot. A well thought of idea and a little effort in the execution can sometimes go a long way, but this was just the worst thing I've tried reading in a while, for multiple reasons.
There was no organization whatsoever. There was a bunch of stuff going on, and much of it had already happened so we are introduced to the 'tell' without going through the 'show' aspect of it, which by itself I consider lazy writing. Anyone can tell, it's on the showing when you actually show skill, but that's my prerogative. The writing had no structure, no sense of development or characterization. We get multiple POVs but we don't know who this people are, what's going on or what they are talking about because this stuff already happened and it's just briefly mentioned - without a care to explain or give some background on it, like they couldn't afford some details. Also, there was no way to differentiate one character from another. They could have might as well be all the same. The dialogue is cringe-y and unrealistic. Who talks that way? I honestly don't understand how the lack of editing and correction didn't piss anyone off. I never give such a low rating but this was seriously bad.
Also, I'm always suspicious when a heroine is liked by everyone. All the male POVs seemed to have been made simply to describe how 'hot' and desirable she was. I never get the personality part so I never get how they like each other or how the bonds happened out of nowhere. It's plain ridiculous.
I could go on but I won't.
