District of Columbia-based Health Transformation Alliance, a cooperative of large U.S. employers; District of Columbia-based non-profit organization and HTA member The Leapfrog Group; and San Diego-based Turquoise Health have “announced the recognition of 472 hospitals for their efforts in demonstrating excellence in patient safety through The Leapfrog Group.” Furthermore, the hospitals were recognized for their adherence to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HSS) Hospital Price Transparency Rule as evaluated by Turquoise Health. https://ow.ly/wPyg50RgrL1

On April 1, Leapfrog updated its list of 29 diagnostic error practice recommendations after hospital leaders asked for a hierarchy. The reorganized recommendations are now in the form of 24 optional questions. In upcoming surveys, the questions will be organized in six parts: CEO commitment to diagnostic excellence, patient engagement, risk assessment and mitigation, convening a multidisciplinary team, staff training and education, and closing the loop on cancer diagnosis. https://ow.ly/NcHw50RfkzG
