Ingredients

  • 6 sliced mochi
  • 1 3/4 fluid ounces water
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons potato starch
  • 1/2 ounce butter
  • potato starch (for dusting), as needed

Steps

  1. Place sliced mochi in a bowl. Add water, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for about 7 minutes at 500W.
  2. Remove the wrap and stir until the mochi is well mixed.
