The Lexus LC Hokkaido Edition 2022 debuted with unique design touches for European customers.

Lexus introduced a new special version of the LC in Europe called the «Hokkaido Edition.»

The new limited edition features a special design and is named after the island of Hokkaido, a luxury tourist destination in Japan that is famous for its volcanoes, mountain forests, Onsen hot springs and beautiful roads.

Hokkaido is also home to the Lexus Shibetsu test site, where sports models such as the LFA and LC were developed.

The new Lexus LC Hokkaido is available in coupe and convertible versions. It can be distinguished visually by its 21-inch alloy wheels, black grille and chrome trim, and a set of afterburner-style taillights.

It’s available exclusively in Flare Red, Sonic Platinum, F White and Graphite, while the LC Convertible is available with a black or red cloth soft top.

In the interior, we find a two-tone treatment with dark pink and black shades.

In addition to the red upholstered center tunnel and center console, the driver’s side door and dashboard are painted red, while the rest of the interior is in black for a nice asymmetrical effect.

The color choice was inspired by the volcanic nature of the Hokkaido region, and there is also a license plate informing its limited character.

Customers will be able to get the Lexus LC Hokkaido with a V6 or V8 hybrid engine, just like the «regular» LC. The LC 500h has a 3.5-liter V6 engine and two electric motors, with a combined output of 354 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

The more powerful LC 500h has an un-inflated 5.0-liter V8 engine with 471 hp and 540 Nm of torque.

Production of the LC Hokkaido Edition is limited to 40 coupes and 40 convertibles for 2022 for European customers.

Sales in Europe will begin in April 2022. It’s not known if Lexus plans to bring the Hokkaido to other markets in the near future, but judging by its strategy with other special editions, it sounds plausible.
