Super Silly Museums Trail

In Easter 2022, we invited families to go exploring in their local museum with our Super Silly Museums trail!

To mark the release of Super Silly Museums by much-loved illustrator Nick Sharratt, we joined forces with Scholastic UK to create a fun activity trail for families!

Readers are invited to stroll around eight magnificently silly museums in this giggle-fest of a book packed with drawing activities.

Families could create their own family adventure by seeing how many things they could spot from the book at their local museum, then drawing their favourite thing they found! Families could join in anywhere in the UK by simply downloading the activity sheet from our website until 31 December 2022.

Could your family find:

  • a shoe?
  • something in a pair?
  • something beginning with Q?
  • something toilet-related?
  • something blue?

We gave away a copy of Super Silly Museums to one family who shared an object they had found from the Super Silly Museums activity sheet on Facebook or Instagram, tagging our account @kidsinmuseums and using the hashtag #SuperSillyMuseums.

We also held an All About You-seum competition with Scholastic inviting children aged 5-11 to design their own museum. One lucky entrant won an Art Fund Family Membership, a virtual school visit with Nick Sharratt plus £100 worth of picture books! See the winning design on Instagram.
