For the fourth consecutive year, local home builder Terra View Homes will be providing frontline health-care workers at Guelph General Hospital with a traditional dinner this Christmas in partnership with a match from The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital.
While many will be at home celebrating the holidays over a shared meal with their families and friends this year, frontline workers at Guelph General Hospital will spend their time putting others first, providing high-quality care and emergency services to the 200,000 residents of Guelph and Wellington County.
“Providing our frontline workers with a meal to enjoy on Christmas day is just a small gesture to show our appreciation of the hard work they have dedicated their lives to during a very challenging and stressful last few years,” says Andrew Lambden, founder and CEO of Terra View Homes. “Without the life-saving care of our Hospital staff — we would deeply feel the impact, as individuals, as friends, as family members and as a community— especially at this time of year.”

We commend their leadership in recognizing our Hospital staff and investing in people, especially at this time when resources are so stretched.”
The holiday season can be a difficult time for many, and for health-care professionals and their families, working these major holidays comes with great sacrifice. Terra View’s donation will provide 216 meals to staff. This number has been matched by The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, making it possible for over 400 meals to be served over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
“To be there for others so they can enjoy their holidays, that is what this special group of people are doing this season,” said Lambden. “We recognize that and thank them for their service.”
