Upon successful completion these educational sessions, participants should be better able to:

• Evaluate strategies to improve patient recognition and diagnosis based on the pathophysiology and clinical symptomology of acromegaly
• Describe the common comorbidities associated with acromegaly and the burden on patient quality of life despite endocrine control
• Examine the most recent clinical evidence regarding the safety and efficacy of currently approved and emerging treatment options for the management of patients with acromegaly
• Review the importance of continued monitoring of patients with acromegaly and improved provider-patient communication to ensure symptom control and minimizing the treatment burden and QoL burden

AMA PRA Category 1 Credit
The Endocrine Society designates each activity in this course for a maximum of 1.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. While offering CME credits noted above, this program is not intended to provide extensive training or certification in the field.

Please note that while other accrediting bodies accept AMA PRA Category 1 credit, we can only award and report this credit for MDs/DOs.
