First Year Workshop
For a great snapshot of RPC, our workshops are a fascinating opportunity to learn, network and get prepared for a career in law.
The workshops are packed full of activities, including:
- Listening to interactive spotlight presentations on our practice areas and life as a trainee
- Taking part in skills sessions to prepare you for application season
- Attending networking events
Studying law? You can join us for this workshop if you’re in your first year.
Studying a non-law degree? You must be in your penultimate year.

Our First Year Workshop takes place on Wednesday 27 March 2024. The deadline for applications is Monday 18 March 2024.

London & Bristol Insight Days
Our Insight Days are just that. Insightful. Experience real life as a trainee, taking part in an application skills session and networking with people from all across the firm.
'Open to students in their penultimate or final year studying law, final year of a non-law degree or those who have already graduated, it's the perfect opportunity to find out more about RPC before you submit your summer scheme or training contract application. If you have a genuine interest in a career in law and are a creative thinker with a desire to make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

Experience life at a global commercial and insurance law firm 100% free and self-paced. In this programme, you will:

Summer schemes
London Summer Scheme
You’ll be welcomed into our London office and given an opportunity to spend time experiencing life in a creative law firm for yourself. It’s also our chance to get to know you and understand what you may be able to offer us.
During these two weeks, you’ll be fully integrated into our teams, getting involved in projects and giving you a fantastic insight into whether a career at RPC is right for you, and if you’re right for us.

Hong Kong Summer Scheme
We run a summer scheme in our Hong Kong office for candidates with Chinese capability. Successful applicants will spend two weeks with us, during which you’ll have time in both of our Insurance & Commercial Disputes and Corporate teams to experience different practice areas.
This is as much a chance for us to get to know you as you to know us. During the programme, you’ll take part in our Training Contract assessment, which includes a group discussion, a group presentation and written skills assessments. If you’re successful, you’ll be invited to a motivation interview by a People Resourcing Team member and an Associate. The last round of the selection process is a Partners' panel interview.
