Throughout the week we covered the qualifiers for the PBA Roth/Holman Doubles Championship. Now with the stepladder finals happening yesterday, we finally know who won the event. Which duo came away with the title? Let’s find out.

In the first match fifth seed defending champions of this event Mitch Hupe and Packy Hanrahan faced fourth seed Kyle Troup and Jesper Svensson. The fifth seeded team walked away with the upset a 231-182 win over Troup and Svensson.

Hupe and Hanrahan then faced three seed Dom Barrett and Anthony Simonsen. This match didn’t go as well for them as Barrett and Simonsen won easily 224-187. This ended Hupe and Hanrahan’s run at back-to-back titles in this event.

Bill O’Neill and Jason Belmonte, the second seeded team would be Barrett and Simonsen’s next challenge. In this semifinal match it would be O’Neil and Belmonte getting the better end of the deal with a 204-179 victory.

The team of O’Neil/Belmonte would then face the top seed team of Anrew Anderson and Kris Prather for the title. The one seeds looked great firing the highest game of the stepladder to win with a 233-215 victory.

Anderson and Prather capture the first title of the PBA 2024 World Series of bowling. The second title up for grabs is the Cheetah Championship tonight. Prather will have another shot at a title on Wednesday as he competes in the Shark Championship stepladder finals.

Then the PBA World Championship will begin on Thursday. Stay tuned for coverage of the event.
