The Department for International Trade (DIT), in collaboration with the UK Science and Innovation Network (SIN), and Tech Nation have organised a virtual trade mission from 21-25 February 2022.
The UK is a pioneer in demonstrating that economic success and environmental responsibility go hand in hand. The UK government is the first major economy to commit to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
UK net zero companies continue to thrive in Europe, making up just under 20% of all the companies in the ecosystem. In 2021, UK net zero companies raised over £1b, with over £40m of “COP pop” of venture capital investments in October.
11 UK companies will be at this mission to explore collaboration opportunities with you. These companies offer products and services ranging from smart buildings, smart energy, climate change and security solutions. Find out more about each company via the UK Delegates tab or download a copy of our online directory here.

Why The UK?
In November 2020, the UK government launched its Ten Point Plan for a Green Industrial Revolution, which aims to bring together policies, significant new public investment of £12b, and an estimated £36b investment across energy, buildings, transport, innovation, and the natural environment by 2030. This plan focuses on:
- Advancing offshore wind
- Driving the growth of low carbon hydrogen
- Delivering new and advanced nuclear power
- Accelerating the shift to zero emission vehicles
- Green public transport, cycling, and walking
- Jet zero and green ships
- Greener buildings
- Investing in carbon capture, usage, and storage
- Protecting our natural environment
- Green finance and innovation
The UK government is committed in setting mechanisms, policies, investments, to enable industry and the academe to innovate and develop pioneering technologies for responsible production and consumption, affordable and clean energy, and climate action. Thanks to our outstanding academic and industry leaders working together to design new solutions to combat climate change, the UK is constantly creating new ways to embrace the green revolution.
The UK is leading the charge and is a global leader for net zero tech and remains steadfast in engaging global partners like Singapore to take forward the COP 26 goals in mitigation, adaptation, finance, and collaboration.
