Founded in 2021, the BeTech Foundation, Inc. (BTF) is a 501(c)(3) charity supporting education for US immigrants and asylum recipients. Our mission is to support the educational aspirations of immigrant communities and asylum recipients. Through academic and need-based scholarships, we strive to break down financial barriers, provide equal opportunities for individuals with educational backgrounds, and enable talented individuals to pursue higher education and unlock their full potential. These include scholarships, educational assistance, and partnerships with other agencies to magnify community impact.
Purpose
To identify and offer academic scholarships to US immigrants and Asylum recipients who strongly desire academic excellence and leadership positions in organizations and plan on attending one of the partnered programs to socially and professionally integrate into their new US environment.
Reward:
Total Need & Academic Based Scholarship Award Fund: $11,500
One (1) full Scholarship of $3,000
Two (2) partial Scholarship of $1,500
Four (4) partial Scholarship of $750
Five (5) partial Scholarship of $500
Scholarships are only available through our partnered Program. The current Scholarship award is for the Software QA Program offered by BeTech Academy, an NYS Education Department BPSS-approved institution. The tuition for the Program is $3,000.00. The awards won will be sent directly to the institution and paid on the final payment of the tuition fees at the institution.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria to qualify for this award:
- Have at least a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent from an international institution translated into English
- US Citizen or US Resident at the time of application
- Show proof of need/financial or academic excellence
- Upload necessary documentation
* Scholarships Awards are on a first come, first basis
* The program must have space to accommodate the Awardee; if not, the award will be provided for the next available cohort
* Awardee must signup for the Program within seven (7) days or risk forfeiting the award given
*GPA, extracurricular activities, career statement, and financial need statement are not required but may assist in the selection process.
