Ranveer Singh will visit the India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai on Sunday as part of the Media & Entertainment fortnight. Sources say that the actor will be representing the Indian entertainment industry and will join Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, on the stage for a session. A source informs, "Ranveer has taken a day off from his hectic schedule to fly to Dubai as India's representative.
He will be a part of some important meetings and join Anurag Thakur for a fun conversation. He will also attend a dinner hosted by the Counsel General of India."
Ranveer, who has completed over a decade in the Hindi film industry, has played a variety of roles that have garnered critical and commercial success. He debuted with a boy-next-door character in Band Baaja Baaraat, and followed it up with critically acclaimed films like Lootera and Finding Fanny, grand period dramas like Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, as well as masala flicks like Gunday and Simmba. In his last cinematic outing, he played Kapil Dev in 83, a big-screen retelling of India's dramatic win at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The I&B Minister is on a three-day visit to Dubai from March 26-28 and he will attend the CEO roundtable with chiefs of the cinema and TV industry. He will also meet with his counterparts from other countries.
