1.
Trasenster 03:13
I’m in a place I can see everything Yet I don’t know where the hell I am I can see clear, my mind is slowing down I might become a child again someday Leave all thoughts behind Analyze a paralyzed mind What is the reason I am here today? The people in this world scare me to death Just let me sit here on this hill all day Defeat my thoughts, stay sober, and go to bed Leave all thoughts behind Analyze a paralyzed mind
2.
Parable 04:39
I’ve traveled across the ocean I never thought that I could be alone No one said nothing I could die and never be alone In the end I just want to go home Freedom A parable A parallel universe inside I have to, I need to Find my way to see the sky someday They’re waiting for words again Loneliness brings truth to my last days I’m not gonna leave you anyway Freedom A parable A parallel universe inside
3.
Ocean 02:30
Everyone’s trying to remain But in the end we all die Though we try to stay alive After the rainbow there will be peace So we go, we shall fly And all is well on the other side Forever together now There is sunshine in our hearts Although sometimes it takes a while To appear but it will save your life Forever together now
4.
Serapeum 03:24
Pyramids and tombs I’m dead in a womb I’m dumb like Pasha’s son I wasn’t born a king Says the theory of Petrie Stuck in a temple of misery Maybe you’ll do right In our second life A stonecold bombing Let’s bury the problems Don’t let the thieves escape If you take it to your grave You’re driving me insane The sealed door to death A house upon six stairs The wealth of a lost empire The memory will fade But the gold has been erased The truth will be lost in the fire
5.
Needle 02:23
Every day there’s a reason to drift away Need my thoughts in a systematic, neat display There’s a war going on between every song I’m organized but that’s no reason it can’t go wrong Everybody’s got to learn sometimes Stuck with a needle in my eyes It hurts to be constantly surprised Ready for another crest of another wave I feel short, what must I do to be finally saved? There’s no God, there’s just me and her and everyone Move along, I don’t want you all in my songs Everybody’s got to learn sometimes Stuck with a needle in my eyes It hurts to be constantly surprised
6.
Apocalypse 03:42
I need to tell you that The world is a place where There’s so much to lose But there is hope on its way We will try and make it work again Please consider it The earth is a diamond and Your heart is a stone There is abuse and violence Just leave us alone We will try and make it work again Please consider it We took these vows to fight until the end I will forgive you We won’t survive this life We won’t survive We won’t survive this life We won’t survive
7.
The weight of the world is on my shoulders In search of something while climbing a rock The weight of the world is on my shoulders What were we hoping to find at the top? We danced & we talked We crawled in the mud We fought & we bet that We’ll never give up We closed both our eyes And we left for the sun When we entered the gates We knew we had won And there’s a boar in the wilderness Spiders on top of our heads Can you see there’s no infinity? Space is like the alphabet The weight of the world is on my shoulders In search of something while climbing a rock The weight of the world is on my shoulders What were we hoping to find at the top? We laughed and we sang We ate and we ran There’s something up there That we found in the air For ourselves please retreat There’s no use for a deed There is music and peace What else do we need? The weight of the world The weight What were we in search of? What were we in search of?
8.
Here we are We feel shaky Left to drown In the mud Why does the past matter? Don’t believe Our hands are trembling I was a kid I wasn’t nice Why does the past matter?
9.
Elliott 02:37
10.
Haze 04:40
I can’t believe what it is that I see A broken display and some pictures of me Who am I? And what do I want? Everlasting mistakes and short bursts of fun And let the reasons be And let the road be free There is a star and it shines down on me A headstart to a life where I’ll be Facing the dark I get on with my days Together apart, my life is a haze And let the reasons be And let the road be free And let our hearts agree That the branches of the tree Are coming down on me Please God help me, please I am the sun and my life is a shell A hollow one with a body for sale My soul is gone, I am what I think The beast has won and I need a drink
11.
Two more reasons to believe Life brought out the best in me Traveling on open seas This is how it’s meant to be The universe got lost in song We are small we are not strong Tell me, where do I belong? I’ve never known what keeps us young And all the time We thought we could play outside Where we would merge our wary minds With the sky I wasn’t satisfied with life Didn’t know how to cope with time I did succeed and still I tried To do something before I’d die And all the time We thought we could play outside Where we would merge our wary minds With the sky The band continues without you I wouldn’t know which words are true I do believe and so do you Together we will never lose

TR054 - Tiny Room Records 2022

BIO
The World of Dust’s new album is a totally acoustic, warm and soothing, elaborated indie folk record.

Gaman is the 8th album by Dutch experimental folk artist The World of Dust. The title is Japanese for ‘enduring the seemingly unbearable with patience and dignity’ – Stefan Breuer covers weighty topics through a personal lens within a 100% acoustic, slowcore setting. The album’s eleven songs address the struggles of a young father and artist in the midst of a climate, economic ánd health crisis. Breuer explores these ideas through a mixture of wit and melancholy. Guitars, wind instruments, harmonium and percussion provide an intimate musical ecosystem in which Breuer’s baritone thrives.

PRESS
Luminous Dash: “Gaman sounds very universal and deserves the necessary attention outside our national borders”
Gonzo (circus): “A perfect balance between his small songs and elaborate arrangements with an eye for the smallest detail. One of the best records that fans of Red House Painters or I am Oak can pick up this year.”
Here Comes The Flood: “superb slowcore that digs deep”
Muziekplank: “The sound has become more mature and the vocal harmonies are beautiful. Gaman is definitely his best work!
Proglog Afterglow: “an album that encourages you to reflect but also to dream away”
