The Commonwealth of Learning in collaboration with Trifinity Solutions Inc is offering a project, coined “CodeHER”, which seeks to improve training, skill development and access to digital education in Guyana for women and girls between the ages of 12-25 years old.
CodeHer is a program designed to train young girls to develop relevant digital skills. We are empowering girls(12-25 years old) to become programmers and ICT creators and encourage further education and careers in technology in other words bridge the digital divide. The program will be a three (3) day workshop to increase computer coding education among 100 women and girls in Guyana.
The three- day workshop will focus on the development of digital literacy of women and girls to decrease the digital divide by learning how to code Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
This workshop will be conducted on July 2nd, July 3rd and July 9th, and will be held both in person at the University of Guyana’s Center for Information Technology (CIT) labs and online via zoom.
