Over the last year, our clients have shown great determination in thriving in the community. The agency served nearly 100 clients through in-home and employment services throughout Bremer, Butler, Grundy, and Black Hawk Counties. Community Support Services clients worked on their individual goals to be successful in their homes and communities throughout the year. Clients in employment services worked at Trinkets & Togs as well as numerous businesses throughout the Cedar Valley. Each person has their own unique struggles and successes. Our staff are there to provide assistance when needed and also take a step back when appropriate so that each client can feel pride in their own progress.
Thinking about those Larrabee Center and Trinkets & Togs staff brings a great feeling of gratitude. Our staff have shown time and time again that they want what is best for the clients, for our customers, and for each other. Continuing on the thoughts of gratitude, this last year was also an exceptional year of support from our community. Not only do our customers show support of the agency through donating goods and shopping at Trinkets & Togs, they also have helped financially through donations, buying raffle tickets, and attending our events. The agency even celebrated its 20th annual Fashion Show & Social along with a record number of supporters and donors!
Optimism is the final key word for the year. I am continually optimistic about the abilities of our clients, the dedication of our staff, and the compassion and support of the community. It takes all of these components for our agency to succeed and I feel we are all still growing and improving! One of the most exciting things for the agency as we look forward to the new year is that 2024 also marks the 35th anniversary of the agency! We hope you will join us as we celebrate this milestone during the year!
