Urgently Required - Anzac Day Service Details

Complete the survey now

Anzac Day Resources

A suite of resources aimed at schools and community groups have been placed on the RSA’s website to help support them with their own Anzac Day commemorations. More resources will be added in the coming weeks. The resources can be found here: Anzac Day Resources (rsa.org.nz)

We are also thrilled to inform you that we have been gifted a range of music to support commemorations by the New Zealand Army Band. This music will be placed on the same page of the website in the coming days and will be free to download.

Flood relief reminder

A reminder that Associations can make donations to help support RSA’s and veterans in the areas affected by this year’s extreme weather events, including Cyclone Gabrielle.

Some RSA’s in the worst affected areas will have no, or limited, ability to conduct a Poppy collection this year as their communities focus on rebuilding. We know that as the long-term effects of these events are more fully understood, and we get greater clarity on what insurance claims will cover, we will discover veterans in the affected areas who are in need of significant levels of support.

On the first page of the Poppy Campaign Guidebook were instructions for how Associations can donate to a central fund to support affected RSA’s and veterans. We are encouraged by the donations that have been received to date, but we know that more will be needed. DSM’s are already working to determine a process for distributing the funds.

RSA’s wishing to make a donation to the fund can do so by making a bank deposit in to the account below. Please ensure you use the Reference so that donated funds can be easily identified.

Account Name: RNZRSA

Account No: 02-0500-0021094-00

Reference: FLOOD

Poppy Campaign Guidebook

Associations should have received a copy of the Poppy Campaign Guidebook which provides access to marketing materials and other information to support their individual Poppy collections. If you have not yet received a copy, it can be downloaded below.

Last Minute Poppy Orders

Poppies are still available for Associations that need to order more. These can be shipped within 48 hours of the order being made so there is still time to get them before Poppy Day. If you require more Poppies please contact Celyn to make your order: Celynb@rsa.org.nz

Car Poppies

If your Association would like to sell Car Poppies as part of your fundraising efforts, these are now available from National Office.

Car Poppies are available in lots of 10 at a cost of $80.

If you would like to order Car Poppies, please contact Celyn to make your order: Celynb@rsa.org.nz

Please note, Car Poppies must be ordered in lots of 10 and are not available from National Office in smaller amounts.

Deliver Poppies to your local Four Square

The RSA has been lucky enough to partner up with Four Square in 2023! Their Eastbourne store was used as the filming location for this year’s Poppy Campaign television commercial, which you’ll be seeing on screens from the 12th of April.

Four Square are keen to further support the RSA and would like to see counter-top boxes in all their stores across New Zealand. In order to ensure the donations stay within communities, Associations are strongly encouraged to reach out to their nearest store and provide them with counter-top boxes and Poppies.

You can use the link below to find contact details for the store nearest you.

Anzac Biscuit Tins 2023

It’s April and AFM Group’s line of ANZAC Biscuit Tins are back on store shelves.

Two of the Biscuit Tin designs are based on historical New Zealand stamps (Soldier Holding Map and Kitty Hawk), two were proudly created by Dame Trelise Cooper Designs, and the final design depicts a WWII Propaganda Poster (Don’t Waste Petrol). You will only find the three square tins at Countdown Supermarkets, and the two rectangle tins at New World, Pak n Save, Four Square, The Warehouse, and Moore Wilson stores.

$1 from each tin sold will be donated back to the RSA and used to support veterans and their families.

Valetta Road Jewellery

Valetta Road is two childhood friends with over 30 years of friendship who started up Valetta Road while we were on maternity leave. We make beautiful products to help out organisations and charities as a way of fundraising. We are proud to be in partnership with the RNZRSA and making Poppy Merchandise that we have been doing for four years. During that time we have had covid so not all clubs were aware of us.

The poppy merchandise has been a big success as it's a product that you can wear all year round, not just the lead up and on ANZAC day but beyond. We have had clubs advertise them on their local buy and sell pages on Facebook as well as in their club rooms. Advertising them on Facebook has been really successful as it allows the public who are not members to come in and support Poppy Day appeal. We have had clubs as well take the items out on the street appeal and have a table set up with the items on it, along with the red poppy pins.

If your club would like to purchase some please download the order form, the price on the form is the price you pay and then you put the mark up on them. If you want to know the suggested RRP please ask.

The image below represents just a few items in the range. Download our order form to see the full range.

Any questions please ring Denise on 022 6589827 or send order forms to denisemcc58@hotmail.com or valettaroad@yahoo.co.nz
