Gender reveal parties are a growing phenomenon in the world and it seems the nature of the reveal is getting more and more crazy.Nowadays, a simple cake or a confetti cannon isn’t always enough with future parents becoming increasingly creative with their reveals. The latest reveal to spread like wildfire and go viral online can be seen in a post yesterday by Wrestling News on Twitter. The 48-second clip shows an elaborate wrestling themed gender reveal with the caption: "When dad is in charge of the gender reveal…".

WWE-style gender reveal

In the clip, two wrestlers, one dressed completely in pink (Sinn BodhiTM), symbolising a girl, and one dressed in blue, symbolising a boy, battle it out to show the gender of the new baby.

The fight is refereed by the future father of the child, who is presumably also the organiser of the entire spectacle.

During the initial stages of the fight, blue seems to have the upper hand as he looks to throw pink onto a table. Pink holds off the attack and temporarily gets blue into a headlock and lifts him off the ground, but can’t get him over his head to suplex him.

Blue then lands a solid gut punch and takes control of the fight and gees up the crowd ready for his finishing move.

The panicked looking pink fighter begs the crowd not to call for him to be thrown from the step through the table, but to no avail.

The crowd want blood!

Blue chokeslams pink through the table and pins him much to the delight of the crowd.

The father then sprints in and calls time on the fight, signalling blue as the winner and the gender of the baby as a boy.

It must be said, the mother looks quite confused by the whole thing, but there can be no doubt that the father and the crowd were certainly having a great time.

Incidentally, this is not the first time a wrestling themed gender reveal has gone viral.

Last year, a similar clip exploded across the internet with American television personality and former Survivor contestant Gervase Peterson acting as the referee.

In a similarly extreme bout, that even involved a spectator getting involved with a steel chair, Team Girl eventually won out.

The world of gender reveals is a strange one, but if it allows people to get as creative as this then I’m all for it.

The crowds too certainly seemed to enjoy themselves and the couples looked delighted at the end and that is what the whole experience is about.
