World No. 40 Gilas Pilipinas Men (0-4) suffered a loss in their first of two classification games in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup against world No. 62 South Sudan (2-2), 68-87 on Thursday, August 31, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. [VIDEO].
Gilas has been eliminated from contention for an automatic berth in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
