Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the One Health concept has been getting more and more attention. The evidence that animal, human, plant and environmental health are interconnected is undeniable. However, how easy is it to change the health paradigm in these sectors that have been approached individually? What are the implementation challenges that we must face in One Health at the community and national level?
The International Student One Health Alliance (ISOHA) European Region is proud to organize an online round table discussion. Two experts in the field, Craig Stephen, DVM, PhD and Katrien van’t Hooft, DVM, will be giving a short introduction about implementation of One Health and its challenges. Following will be a round table discussion about current challenges in One Health implementation and their different approaches and possible solutions.
The round table discussion will be moderated by Robert Farias, MHA and panelists will include Herman Barkema, DVM, PhD; Laura H. Kahn, MD, MPH, MPP; Dauda Ayomide Onawola, DVM; and Kikiope Oluwarore, DVM, M.Sc.
The event will take place on Wednesday 11th May, 2022 from 18:00 - 20:00 CEST (GMT+2).
