Blooming Lasagna Bread Bowl

Ingredients
Bread Bowl
- 1 large store-bought bread bowl
Bolognese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- for the ground beef:
- 1 stick celery, finely diced
- 1 small carrot, finely diced
- 4 fluid ounces dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 12 ounces tomato puree
- 1/2 cup dry red wine
Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- small small handful flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
Assemble
- 8 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan, plus 3/4 cup to garnish
- salt
- black pepper
- 5 ounces thinly sliced mozzarella
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Cut a circle in the center of the bread and remove, setting the top aside for later. Cut a larger circle around the center, and then gently cut down around the edges of the bread to create petals.
