C3A – Basics of Smart Money Management
Course Description

To be financially prepared for the future, it is ever more important for us to understand how to make smart decisions. Come join us in this financial literacy course to learn practical money management tips! This course also introduces the use of CPF digital and cashless payment services, raises awareness of scams and shares tips to avoid becoming a scam victim. Lastly, the course also highlights selected Government schemes that support retirement and healthcare needs.

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, participants will
• Be able to make sound decisions pertaining to saving, spending, and borrowing money.
• Understand the use of CPF digital and cashless payment services.
• Learn about Government schemes that support retirement and healthcare.
• Understand the importance of planning ahead to meet future financial needs.
• Recognise the signs of potential scams.

Learning Outcomes

1. Participants will be able to demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions pertaining to saving,          spending, and borrowing money.
2. Participants will be able to give any three examples of accessing information using CPF and LifeSG apps digital services and list two cashless payment services like PayNow and SGQR pay.
3. Participants will be able to identify and discuss three basic financial-related needs in the retirement life stage: income, housing, and healthcare.
4. Participants will be able to list the relevant Government schemes that support retirement and healthcare.
5. Participants will be able to recognise signs of common scams and state the steps to report a scam incident.
