Join us for the AGSM 2024 Professional Forum: Sustainable Leadership in an Accelerating World in Sydney on Tuesday, 18 June.

Participants will build their capacity to lead confidently and purposefully in today’s accelerating world to ‘do well’ and ‘do good’ and increase their understanding of the dynamic forces impacting leadership today to make strategic, sustainable business decisions. Those who complete the Masterclass will be awarded with an AGSM micro-credential in the form of a digital badge.

The Forum will open with a keynote ‘Creating a fairer economy for a more sustainable future’ delivered by Betsey Stevenson, Professor of Economics and Public Policy, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan and former Chief Economist at the US Department of Labor in the Obama administration. Professor Stevenson will address sustainable economics and establish how organisations and leaders can ‘think like economists' to influence sustainable, inclusive business practices and decision-making and understand the relationship between economics, leadership, and change.

Following the keynote, a panel of industry experts will discuss how leaders balance short-term business performance imperatives with long-term sustainability goals to ensure their organisations can not only survive - but thrive - in the long-term.

We will conclude with an interactive Masterclass led by UNSW Associate Professor Michele Roberts: “Embedding Sustainable Leadership in your Organsation”. Participants will be led through an experiment/simulation to evaluate and diagnose a sustainability challenge and identify the trade-offs necessary to achieve a balanced approach to decision making to achieve both immediate business goals and long-term sustainability.
