    What is Maccabi Mega Camp?
    Maccabi Mega Camp is a sports and activities school holiday day camp for Jewish children in years 3-6.
    A selection of sports will be offered (basketball, soccer, netball, and more), which will take place from the morning until lunch. This will be followed by social activities such as laser tag and the like (final details TBC).

    Mega Camp 2022 is a collaboration of Maccabi NSW and Maccabi clubs.


    When is MegaCamp - Spring 2022?
    Starts - Wednesday, 28 September
    Ends - Friday, 30 September

    9.00am - 3.00pm each day

    Who is MegaCamp for?

    Kids in years 3, 4, 5 or 6 (split into two groups 3-4/5-6) from across the Sydney Jewish community.

    Cost

    Cost covers participation in all sports and social activities. This is in addition to sports injury insurance and a provided morning tea.

    Sibling discounts - an additional 10% discount from your total fee. Please register siblings separately.

    Dress Code

    All participants need to dress in sports clothes, wear sneakers and also bring equipment appropriate to their sport.
    Coloured bibs will be provided for sports games.


    Location

    Eastern Suburbs – Moriah College

    An excursion to Archie Brothers for one afternoon activity.

    Will there be transportation?

    Parents will be required to organise their own drop-off and pick-up. Transportation from the North (Masada College) to the East and back will be offered at a subsidised rate and pending numbers.


    Will this event be COVID safe?

    Yes, all activities during MegaCamp will be Covid-safe, adhering to NSW Health guidelines & safety policies. Social distancing will be promoted and limits set on the number of people gathering in groups across designated areas in any given facility. Hand sanitiser will be provided at all events.

    We will also make RAT tests available for free use.

     

    Security & Medical

    Security - The security and health of all participants is our top priority. All event security will be worked through with CSG. 

    First aid - There will be a designated First Aid officer at all events. 

    Hot weather policy – If conditions are deemed unsafe, sports will be called off and kids will be supervised in an appropriate/cool environment. 


    Food

    Children will need to bring their own lunch (veg or kosher). Kosher snacks will be provided for morning tea and water will be readily available throughout the day.


    All Abilities

    We welcome kids of all abilities! Let us know if your child needs any extra support and we will work with you to understand more and accommodate them. 

    Parent Involvement

    Maximum Participants

    Camp number are caped at 100 per day. Registrations will close once that number is reached. So you better hurry!!!


    Covid-19 Refund Policy

    In the event that Covid restrictions result in MegaCamp not being able to take place, a full refund will be provided (excluding a small admin fee of ~$10. Please refer to the refund policies below in the event that a parent chooses to pull their child out due to personal concern.

    Refund policy

    Cancellations on/before 14th September incur no fee. Cancellations after 14th September will incur an admin fee of $60. Cancellations after 24th September will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. If COVID restrictions apply after MegaCamp commences, a partial refund will apply (to be determined by the number of activities missed/recovered by the operator).
