Leeds Rhinos sign hugely exciting six-figure deal

Leeds Rhinos are one of the most active Super League clubs on and off the field.

With chief executive Gary Hetherington determined to expand his and Leeds’ income avenues, there has been a consistent attempt to strike up deals off the field.

And, the latest one is rather inventive as they become the first Super League club to have access to 2mee’s hologram technology thanks to a six-figure agreement through Bartercard UK.

2mee is a direct human messaging platform that sends direct human hologram messages to supporters and customers, giving businesses such as Leeds Rhinos the chance to engage audiences on a human level instead of the usual computer experience.

The deal also offers HoloAd whichis able to use holograms of partners’ logos and assets and send them to mobile apps and websites through the 2mee messaging platform.

Leeds are just one of ten of Bartercard UK’s sponsored sports clubs that now has access to innovative hologram technology.

Brian Smillie, commercial director at 2mee, told Prolific North: “This significant six-figure contract is just the first of many in the pipeline including our HoloAd deployment which has seen clients generating substantial revenue using their current website and app screen real-estate. We look forward to working closely with Bartercard UK and the sponsored sports clubs that will be using our technology to help them unlock the power of face-to-face communication and enjoy the unrivalled engagement rates it can deliver.”

Chris Kirby, managing director at Bartercard UK, added: “This is a great deal for Bartercard UK, allowing our sports club partners to leverage the power of hologram messages and benefit from the upsides that emotional marketing offers. This will allow these Bartercard UK-backed clubs to take fan and audience engagement to the next level and we can’t wait to see the hologram messages they deploy.”
