Rate this book
From USA Today bestselling author Blair Babylon comes a new edge-of-your-seat romantic suspense thriller between an Iowa farm girl and the ex-Navy SEAL billionaire who kidnaps her.

I am an American Navy SEAL, and I will not be blackmailed by a goddamn Russian mafia boss.

Years ago, I parlayed a loan into a billion-dollar crypto fortune. The head of the White Russian Syndicate is demanding I pay it back in illegal military-grade weapons, but I won’t. I will not be responsible for adding to the misery of innocents.

It’s time to hit back at the head of the White Russian Syndicate.

So I kidnap the mafia boss’s niece.

Who I did not realize is my best friend’s estranged little sister.

Who he’s never mentioned.

Not even once.

Sarah is a sweet little hayseed right off her Iowa farm, but when the mafia boss decides she’s a liability to eliminate, she becomes my responsibility to protect.

We’re on the run. But with each passing day, with each attack I defend her from, every hotel room with only one bed, I’m starting to fall for her.

The Russian mafia wants Sarah dead, and her brother is going to murder me when he finds out I’ve gone too far with his sister.

Blair Babylon is the nom de plume of an award-winning, USA Today-bestselling author who used to publish literary fiction. Because professional reviews of her other fiction usually included the caveat that there was too much deviant sex and too much interesting plot, she decided to abandon all literary pretensions, let her freak flag fly, and write hot, sexy, erotic romance.

Not what I was expecting!!! Blair managed to keep me guessing. Pulled in by the deception you don't see until it is too late.

Blaze has watched his prey for a week and knows her routine. However, he does not expect the fallout that ensues after he leaves Sarah. From kidnapped to rescued in short order.

Thank goodness there is a second part...just love a good duet! To be left hanging and wanting more and having to wait - heck of a combination!

Stolen By The Billionaire by Blair Babylon is book 5 in the Twisted Billionaires Series. This is the story of Sarah and Blaze. Blaze is a former Navy Seal who is now being blackmailed by the Russian mafia . But Blaze had a plan to threaten the niece of the head mobster. But that backfires when he learns about Sarah. Now Blaze is out to protect her. This is a interconnecting series so I do recommend reading the previous books.

This book has been so much fun to read! From the start we know we setting out on an intense adventure as Blaze discovers he is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Segue to the depths of farming country. The vivid description of Sarah's life of unrelenting toil, upkeeping the farm to which she feels inextricably tied by obligation and lack of, in her eyes, any other alternative, is painted in technicolour. Her upbringing has reinforced her belief that the farm is her responsibility. Enter Blaze! A tough, determined former Navy Seal and hell bent on using Sarah as a pawn to extricate himself from his dilemma.
From here, the action is non-stop as Blaze and Sarah flee aggressors, assassins and danger. And I loved every minute. And that cliffhanger! It's a humdinger! Fabulous 💖 💖💖💖

Full disclosure to start this review - if you don't like cliffhangers then you need to wait for all of the story - if you are okay with them please proceed.

This was one amazing story with quite a few twists in it that I did not see coming and was most surprised about when they were revealed.

In this installment of the series we get Blaze's story. He too, like the rest of his group is being blackmailed by the Russian mafia for that loan that he accepted when he was younger. As a former Navy Seal he is expected to provide arms to the mafia and that goes against all that he stands for. In what he believes is a good idea and a means to show his blackmailer he threatens the niece of the head of the mafia and what he later finds out is also the estranged sister of one of his friends. What he didn't expect was to discover that his empty threat now needs his protection.

Sarah is a simple farm girl who is just trying to get by in life. What she doesn't expect is the sudden appearance of Blaze, his empty threat to her life, a mafia hit squad after her life and then to be taken by Blaze as a means to protect her. Her world has imploded and she now has to question things that she was told by her parents and begins to question what she knows while at the same time developing feelings for her captor - Blaze.

The pair go on the run as a means to keep Sarah safe and end up where they think they will be safe only to find out that everything is a lie. Will this pair make it out alive? Will Blaze have to pay the blackmail demand? How will Blaze deal with his betrayal?? Enter the cliffhanger because now I need to wait to get these questions answered.

This was an action packed read from the start. The chemistry between Blaze and Sarah was off the charts and I was hooked on this story. I will admit that I was a little upset about the cliffhanger but all good things come to those who wait and I expect that the next installment of this story will fall into that category.

Overall, this was a great read that I would recommend to others if they can handle waiting for the next installment of the story.

Blair is back, and just as good as ever! This book is witty and steamy right from the get go. I love the way Blair writes her humour - it’s easy, quirky, and so relatable. You can’t help but laugh. Especially when Sarah and Blake first meet, and she starts telling him off in the kitchen. It’s perfect. And when the danger hits and Blaze goes racing to Sarah? My heart was in my throat as I tore through the pages to see how it would turn out. His protective instincts make me swoon. Blair writes the best Alpha protector males.
I love Blair’s description of farm life, and the constant routine of chores. Farm life doesn’t take a day off.
Sarah is a character with so much pluck, and grit, you almost root for her to escape Blaze. Except he’s super hunky, so you can’t wait to see how they finally get together.
When Blaze says “I’m very good at tying people up” omg swoooooooon! And the delicious shivers the first time he says “good girl”.
It’s also really nice to revisit characters from previous series, like Magnus and Rogue Security from Flicka’s series. Like greeting an old friend, that you haven’t seen in a while but enjoy catching up with.
The spicy scenes are so well written. They get my heart pounding and quivering. These are part of why I love Blair’s books and come back for more and more and more.
The cliffhanger at the end - you won’t see it coming. I can not WAIT to read the next book. I hope it’s out soon!

Stolen by the Billionaire is book 5/6. This is where Blaze gets his story and boy, you dont want to miss it!
Blaze is a navy seal. He is being threatened by a Russian mafia boss Mary Varvara Bell. Blaze believes threatening his friends sister will make Mary back off. Instead she sends her people to kill her, Blaze, being the hero he is, rescues her and decides delivering her to her brother Logan is the best way to keep her safe. But.... is Logan a man who can be trusted???

WOW and I mean, WOW! I am sitting here absolutely stunned. What an adventure. Blaze has to be my favourite of the mafia scholarship friends. He is every bit the alpha male with a big squishy soft heart. The very embodiment of a hero.
Sarah took a little time to warm up to. There were parts of the book I could've cheerfully given her a good shake. Now, if you were to ask about Micha and Twist, they can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. How can Blaze ever trust them again.

I cannot wait for book 6, Saved by the Billionaire. It's sure going to be my most anticipated book of 2024. I don't think I've pre-ordered a book so fast. Will Blaze bring down the house? Will Rogue Security play a part? I certainly hope Logan gets his comeuppance.

Sarah worked on her family Farm and has an aunt she thought was a good person. Blaze is a billionaire who found bitcoin so that’s how you became a billionaire. Blaze was being blackmailed by Sarah aunt. So he went to the farm to threaten Sarah so that that the blackmailing stopped . After he threaten her , he sat in her house and gave her some money for her trouble. when he got home, Logan, his friend Called him to check on his sister. When he got there, she thought he was kidnapping her.. Some men with guns came out to the farm to attack her, but she believed later on in the book that he was kidnapping her. He took her to his home for safety. They got to his house which was very secure, and the man got in. He had a security team come in to protect them.. They left home to go to Logan‘s house. On the way you’ll find romance and a terrible act of betrayal from someone he knows and a cliffhanger

This was not what I thought. There is Sarah who is very independent and works really hard to take care of her family farm in Iowa. She is surprised by Blaze, who uses her to get back at her aunt who's blackmailing her, though he wasn't really going to hurt her (sure seemed like it though)

Then their is her estranged brother, Logan, who finds out that her aunt has put a hit out on her so no one will think she has anyone who can weaken her. So that backfired on Blaze, the Navy Seal, and he ends up going back to save Sarah for her brother Logan. He is not supposed to touch her, we'll you know how that will go.

Lots of twists and turns from there that keeps you reading to then end, which is a cliffhanger as this is a duet! Looking forward to seeing how it ends up in the next book.

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

This is the third of the “best” friends from Le Rosey. We have read Twist, Shine and now are in process of learning of the ultimate betrayals. The end of this story is a cliffhanger (just a warning) and I sincerely hope for a light at the end of the tunnel. I knew Logan was dicey, from the earlier books, but this puts all in question. One good thing, is Blair usually does not make us wait too long for the next book, as I hate cliffhangers with a passion. A definite addition to your TBR LIST. Don’t miss this one.

I literally could not put this down and need more now. Blaze is everything you need in a hero and Sarah is a sheltered daughter with no clue what is coming. It is hilarious to see how the two of them interact sometimes because I can actually see this happening in real life. You are on the edge of your seat throughout and the cliffhanger leaves daggers in your chest. The next book cannot get here soon enough because I need to know why and if a double double cross is coming.

What a ride! Non stop action and intrigue with steamy BDSM adventures - while this is not my catnip, the writing is so good I understood how it worked for the characters. What a cliffhanger ending on this installment - can't wait for the next book.

O.M.G.!!!! Stolen by the Billionaire by Blair Babylon was soooooooooo good!!! This is book 1 of a Duet. It is the story of Blaze and Sarah. She’s a simple farmgirl. He’s an ex-Navy Seal whose is being blackmailed by a Russian mafia boss. So, he decides to use her weakness against her….her niece, Sarah. But, when his plan backfires, it puts an innocent Sarah in danger…deadly danger. So, Blaze goes into ‘protection’ mode. Protect at all costs.

Absolutely mouthwatering, intense, unputdownable, engrossing story!!! This slow-burn, wild ride, extremely entertaining and danger-filled story kept me reading long into the night!! The riotous descriptions of enchiladas had me laughing uproariously…the tongue-in-cheek humor was unexpected and I loved it!!! Blaze is super protective. Sarah in unbelievably naïve and innocent…but, understandable, given her background. Thrill-a-minute read!!! Ends in a major cliffhanger!!!

Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book. It’s book 5 in the Twisted Billionaire’s series, the first to focus on Blaze Robinson. Since this is only the first book about Blaze, you can bet it’s a cliffhanger, and Blair Babylon is not shy about torturing her readers with cliffhanger endings. Sometimes, it’s easier if you know what to expect going into it. Truth is, if this weren’t an ARC, I’d just immediately start the next book, but as an advanced reader, I’m gonna have to wait.

The background is that Blaze Robinson is contacted by Mary Varvara Bell, the evil heir of the man who loaned money to each of the Twisted Billionaires when they were fresh out of college. As his heir, she has inherited the debt and is calling for it to be paid in full—which would mean Blaze would lose his entire fortune—unless he provides her with an assortment of war-grade weapons. As an ex-military SEAL, he refuses to be blackmailed, especially when he knows Bell is a key member of the White Russian mafia. So, he decides to threaten Bell’s niece Sarah, a hayseed from Iowa.

Needless to say, things don’t go as planned and Blaze finds himself on the run with Sarah, both of their lives in peril. Sarah’s older brother is one of Blaze’s closest friends, although strangely, he never mentioned he has a sister. Now, however, he insists that Blaze protect Sarah from assassins that have been sent to kill her. Even though Logan is closely aligned with the White Russians, it doesn’t occur to Blaze to question his motives because he, Logan, Micah, and Twist have been friends for so long.

Sarah is a fascinating character—both of her parents died, leaving her a small farm which she struggles to maintain on her own. She works from morning to night but always struggles for money. Nevertheless, she feels responsible for everything and refuses to leave, even when her life is in danger. She’s named her brown cow HowNow, which I love. Convinced that Blaze is kidnapping her, rather than rescuing her, she decides she must brainwash him into letting her go because she’s watched enough Lifetime movies to know that’s how things work. I laughed out loud at that one. And this was even better. Blaze hands her a toiletry bag, since she didn’t have time to pack anything, and she sees the name Bvlgari. She reasons it must be a knockoff because it should be spelled Bulgari. Again, I giggled. Faced with some unexpected truths about her beliefs, Sarah is stunned and Blaze compares her face to that of a cat suddenly realizing the red dot isn’t real and having an existential crisis.

Blaze takes Sarah to his house and she insists she can handle the enchiladas that his housekeeper left in the fridge for them. She then goes on to describe them in her head using words like: chemical weapons, hot coals smothered in red napalm sauce, reheated with a welding torch, burning phosphorus from fireworks, plasma from the center of the sun, and thermonuclear torture. It went on for pages; I was hysterical.

Although I’ve been asked not to include quotes (which btw is killing me because my own words are insufficient), there were some wonderful descriptions, like when they’re driving through traffic and the other cars are described as “racing backward toward them.” Okay, so it’s a very tiny quote, but if I didn’t add quotation marks, it would be plagiarism, which is worse than using the writer’s words to extol the writing. Besides, I think the warning is because words might change in the final draft of the book. So, I hope I’ll be forgiven for sharing this bit of poetry because it would be a crime if it were deleted! “The diamond and ruby torrents of headlights rolled in opposite directions in the night ahead, streaming through the star-covered city blocks and leaping over the abysses of riverbeds.”

There’s a part of the story where Blaze learns something unexpected and finds himself mulling over the colossal implications, and the words used to describe him as a puppy facing an oversized roast is impressively clever and original. Unfortunately, I can’t share it; you’ll have to read the book.

Finally, there’s also a veiled reference to a trashy mirrored hotel in New York City covered in yellow bankruptcy tape. This is classic Blair Babylon snark, and I’m here for it. The rest of the book is surprisingly lacking in it, so I was happy to see this.

Including quotations in my book reviews has become so much a part of what I do, that I feel like I’ve had one hand chopped off and I’ve been commanded to type this review using only one side of the keyboard. It’s just not possible for me to convey the genius that is Blair Babylon and I’m upset that I have to do it this way. All I can say is that this book is well worth reading and if you’ve enjoyed her books in the past, you’ll love this one too.

Billionaire, small town and all the spice

I am an Iowa native, Hawkeye who was raised in a small farming community- as close to being on a farm without being a farmer myself. Most of my family were farmers though, so I just HAD to read this book. First, I appreciated the research the author did geographically and community wise- while I initially thought the sheltered farm girl vibe was overdone, I grew up on the other side of the state (but went to U if Iowa) and this actually rings true for the Amish and Mennonite community. So, kudos to her for this because I appreciated all of the effort on this front. As for the story, I loved the action, drama and (of course) romance this book offered. It is as an interconnected story as I had not read the other books, and I did not feel as if I missed anything having not yet read the first 4. However, it does end on a cliffhanger (gasp) and it’s a few weeks for the next book- and I will be downloading the continuation ASAP!

When I first started reading this book and saw the name Sarah Nevaeh Bell my first thought was 'uh-oh'. This was about to get really interesting.

Sarah, raised and living on a farm, does not have much experience outside of it. It's intriguing to discover more about her because the things she does know are not something the average farm girl would know.
Despite having too much experience coming from a navy seal background, Blaze does not know what Sarah knows. This puts him in danger without knowing how much trouble she is going to be.

Blaze and Sarah are a great and odd combination. It seems to take them a while to get on even footing but considering everything, that is understandable. The skirmishes they have to get out of, the roads they travel, the animals they rescue. It is all put together perfectly.

Generally, I'm not always aware of how Blair will take the plot, but with this one, I had a sneaking suspicion. While it was not exactly what I thought, it was close enough. I am angry at fictional characters for being mean though.

Like normal, I hate when books by Blair end because they are so exciting to read.

This is the 5th installment of the Twisted Billionaire series.

We meet Blaze a SEAL, who is currently being blackmailed by a goddamn Russian mafia boss, who has targeted his old school friends who when they first left school accepted loans from one his friends grandfather, upon his death, Mary Vavara Bell took over and is now the thorn in his side, Blaze decides it’s time to hit back, so he kidnaps Ms Bells neice.

Who I did not realize was best friend’s estranged little sister!

Sarah is a sweet, very naive, who's lived on her inherited Iowa farm, she's struggling to keep it going, but is determined not to fail... even if it runs her into the ground.
After Blaze's attempt to use her, to get out of his situation, it royally backfires as the mafia boss decides she’s a liability and sends her goons to eliminate her.
Luckily Blaze finds out in time and manages to rescue her, and her horse and cow!

(I love the cows name, it is a super name for a cow...)

They're on the run. He's using the resources he has available to get her to her brother, but as time goes by, their attraction for each other grows.

It's a fast paced book, with some laughs, lots of action and tension...and a big TWIST at the end...

I'm now hanging on for book 6 to find out what the heck will happen next.

Book 5 of the Twisted Billionaires series, has Mary Varvara Bell, demanding repayment of a loan Blaze Robinson, a veteran Navy Seal, accepted when he was twenty with military-grade weapons. Thinking when the 'Malefactor' Stanley Bell, his friend Logan Bell's grandfather died the debt died, as well, refusing to be threatened Blaze renegotiates by using Mary Bell's niece, fresh-faced naive farmer girl Sarah Nevaeh Bell, turning her world upside down.
Blaze thinks he is leaving Sarah $15,000 richer as he returns to his Chicago home, but receives an early morning call from, his friend, Logan demanding he go rescue his estranged sister from the Russian hit men his Aunt has sent. As Blae and Sarah trek across the country escaping the Russian Mafia at every turn, it isn't until they reach New York and Logan that Blaze realizes what that little niggle was trying to tell him. Logan.
The chemistry is amazing and this suspenseful fast-paced action-packed adventure is worth the read, and I gotta say I love Sarah's sense of humor. Pick up a copy and enjoy the ride.

Another fantastic book by Blair! This is the 5th book in the Twisted Billionaire series and it was worth the wait. Blaze and Sarah don’t have the greatest start and it doesn’t look like it’s getting better anytime soon. Ex-Navy Seal Blaze needs to convince Sarah that her Aunt is the Queenpin of the White Russian Mafia. Preferably before she kills her. Sarah thinks the whole world is going crazy but Blaze does have the most beautiful blue eyes and he has some great armporn going on too. These two need to figure it all out and soon because this story comes at you fast and there are a lot of twists and turns you don’t see coming. There is a cliffhanger but just till April and that will give you time to read the rest of the series. You’ll definitely want to do that. If you’ve done that, go all the way back and start at Billionaire’s in Disguise. You won’t be disappointed because this lady can write! Best author in this genre bar none.

Phenomenal twists, tangles and seduction scenes, all tied up in one enticing package!
Sarah and Blaze's adventures had me holding my ribs in silent laughter(late night reading), holding my breath when the inevitable bad guys appear to do their dirty deeds and holding my mouse so tightly I honestly was worried I had driven it into splinters of my desk, because you know if it's a Blair Babylon book then it's great, fantastic even, that your cardio monitoring is not this week. Because oh my Sweet Liberty can Blair write! Right?!

Blaze had no idea how deep he'd stepped into it, when he threatened Sara. Blaze was being blackmailed by Mary Varvara Bell- concerning a loan he had taken out from her father (White Russian mafia) years ago. Sarah was her neice. Blaze was never going to hurt her, but once threatened, Mary wanted her dead. Fleeing from the brava, this navy seal has to keep her safe and deliver her to her brother, who left her family years ago. But can he keep her safe, while trying yo keep his hands off her? Fabulous billionaire romance part 1 by Blair Babylon. And that cliffy? Oh! I can't wait for part 2....

I love reading Blair’s books. She has lots of suspense, mystery and lots of steamy romance. We now have Blaze’s story. He is one of the four friends from boarding school. He took a loan from his friend Logan’s grandfather that supposedly he didn’t have to pay back. But now since the grandfather died the Russian Mafia is demanding it back. That’s when he threatened to kill Sarah, the Mafia Queen’s niece and has since backfired on him. Sarah now has a hit on her and he has to protect her. This is a cliffhanger and will be concluded in the next book which I can’t wait till it comes out.

Holy crap-a-doodles, this book is good!
Sarah Bell is living her plain life, minding her own business in the middle of Iowa, when Lt. Commander Blaze Robinson decides to use her as a pawn in negotiations with the head of the White Russian Syndicate (or to Sarah, her Aunt Mary a renowned historian).
As Sarah and Blaze head east to safety, they encounter assassins, a crazed mare, and passion hot enough to self-combust; surviving it all to be double-crossed upon arrival.
It's riveting, it's addicting, and it ends with a crazy cliffhanger. I am now anxiously awaiting Saved by the Billionaire.

Have you ever sewn a button? Do you know how? First, you attach it to the fabric, threading it loosely; then you tighten the hold by pulling the needle through the holes again and again; and lastly, you make sure it never falls off again by strangling the thread between the fabric and the button with the end of the thread purposefully - premeditatedly - left long enough to come round again and again in an unbreakable noose.
Of course, not many people need to know that nowadays, our consumerist present makes us throw clothes away before they are too worn, let alone coming apart at the buttons, unlike in the not so distant past when households were self-sustaining and the mega-malls and internet shopping were a concept not yet conceived.

I felt this book is like that. It starts in a present where Blaze, presuming that a woman no matter how evil in business would be a loving aunt, unwittingly rips an old-fashioned button from the fabric of a world cradled in a past frozen in time. And then, by trying to do what's right, he decides the button was deserving of a cloth he knew would do better and, protecting it close to his chest, takes it to be reattached to a new time in a new place.
This is the story of the trip they took, during which without planning (and "fail to plan, you plan to fail") the button ended up burning a hole through his chest and attaching itself to the cloth of his own heart.
What a conundrum! Comparing cloths would be a huge spoiler, so all the things ready to spill right here and now from my fingers are forbidden. Therefore, just remember for the future that choosing cloth is a very important decision, involving a lot of courage, a lot of pain and a lot of soul-searching which could rip the very fabric of yourself and emerge in a new pattern. And, if you're lucky enough that for the moment when you are nothing but fragile gauze you will have a somebody to drape yourself over for genuine support, take that gold-threaded chance and run with it.

Only one more thought about this thrilling part of the duet before you decide to read it and fall in its unbearable cliffhanger -I found in it a valuable lesson about love: to be genuinely loved don't try to be perfect, just take the risk of exposing the real you, and the prize of happiness you find will be to be valued and protected from the world, and even from yourself.
