Can the bubbly PA convince the grumpy hockey enforcer that love heals all wounds?HarrisonI'm not gonna lie. As a professional hockey enforcer, I've never backed down from a good fight. But while my bad boy reputation on the ice is warranted, when it comes to women, nothing could be further from the truth. Then I crash into Jessica Solomon, the curvy, goddess who lights my lamp with one look from those baby blues. I hope she's ready to be claimed now she's melted the ice around my heart because I plan on keeping my blonde angel ... forever.JessicaI don't know the first thing about hockey, but when I'm tasked to obtain complimentary tickets for one of the Ice Giants biggest games of the season, I need to learn ... fast. And where better to start than at a game? I never expect to run head first into one of the players, a mountain of a man who steals my breath and my sanity. Harrison Tensly is a triple whammy of manly goodness - big, bossy, and breathtakingly masculine. Just like that, I'm in way over my head, and hockey is the last thing on my mind...

“I touch you, and everything else fades away."

Violet Rae is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Everything she writes is pure GOLD.

Harrison is fired from his hockey team. He's an enforcer and the coach hated that. The same day he's fired, he meets Jessica- a wonderful, sweet woman who doesn't know a thing about hockey. Things start off as casual between them but that soon changes!

I really enjoyed reading this one. Harrison is so kind and protective- Jessica is a sweetheart.

safety:
virgin heroine
celibate hero (3 years)
age gap (21h, 31H)
VERY slight OW drama
no cheating/sharing
HEA and epilogue ♡

He promised himself he'd remain celibate, until Jess came into his life. Jess tells him to take her to bed and he asks her if she's sure. Later he runs a bath for her and washes her. The next two day they stay in Harrison's apartment, getting lost with each other. Jess needs to caught up on some work for Mack and Harmony. She asks Harrison to meet her at a bar downtown. She has an interview to do with a reporter, so he agrees. The next few hours Harrison catches up with him teammates who want to know what he's going to do now that he's leaving the team. He doesn't go into detail he's not sure everything is set. When Harrison gets to the bar he hears Jess's voice, when he sees who she is sitting with he can't believe she would sell him out. Harrison tells Jess he can't believe she'd do this to him and sell him out. He then leaves and Jess watches him go not sure what just happened. After Jess questions the reporter and they talk about Harrison instead of Mack Harmony, she ends the interview. Jess collects her things from the hotel and heads to the Catskills. She lives in the guest house on Mack's property. When Mack sees her come in he welcomes her home, then she breaks down. Mack asks her what happened, but Harmony tells Mack they need some girl time. Jess tells Harmony what happened between her and Harrison. Harmony tells Jess if Harrison feels anything for her he'll fight to keep her. Harrison head to the stadium to let out some steam until he realizes what a mistake he made. When Mack sees Harrison he tells him he has a lot of nerve, coming to his home. Harrison tells him he wants to talk to Jess, Mack tells him, he can talk in front of him and Harmony. So Harrison tells Jess, he loves her and doesn't deserve her. He tells Jess he owns her an apology, then he tells her what happened between him and the reporter which is his ex. Harrison tells her he saw red when she was talking to her like they were old friends. Jess tells him she understands why he acted like that but he'll spend the rest of their lives making up for it. Mack and Harmony leave them to make up, and Harrison tells her that he will spend the rest of his life making it up to her. He tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him also. One year later, Jess is taking a pregnancy test, it's not the first time they've hope to be pregnant. They were married a month after he chased her to the Catskills, he returned to college part-time to get his coaching qualifications, and started working with the Rangers. Harrison loves working with the Rangers, they bought a home closer to his job to reduce the commute. Jess still does PA work for Harmony Mack, but mostly from home. When they turn the pregnancy test over it's positive. Harrison tells her he loves her, and Jess tells him she loves him also.

Harrison is the last of, the enforcers in the NHL. Unfortunately, this will be the last season for him, and, they are starting the playoffs. When he is taken out. Yup, to the point where he has, to be removed by stretcher, and stay a few days, in the hospital. It’s a good thing on the day coach gave him the horrible news, he runs right into a young beautiful woman looking for admin.

Once he lends her a hand up, Jessica can’t take her, eyes off him. Any more than he can, take his eyes off hers. She stirs something in him, and so he offers, to take her, to the person who can help her. She is not, a sports fan but came, to the game in case someone, at the fundraiser the next night asks, about the hockey game, when the raffle is on. She invites him, figuring since his brother, and sister-in-law will be there, he might enjoy the evening. Plus her brother and sister-in-law, are performing.

He does show, up and steps up, when a sleazeball drops, a drink on her, to get her attention. When a migraine starts, he gets her, to her hotel. He cares for her, holding her as she sleeps. But, it's not until he ends, up in the hospital, that things heat up. It's her first time, and for him, he’s been celibate. So, two live wires start slow, and then, lust takes over. She’s all in, but she worries, he’s not. And, what will happen when, they hit a tough spot?

This is a fast read, filled with fast sex, and lots of it. I feel him being older, he left her at a disadvantage by, not telling her, the truth. He already knew she was, naive.

Sweet and Steamy

This is a cute and very steamy easy read that has just a few bits of drama. I liked it. There are a couple of things I had to overlook -details below.

Jessica certainly did her best to make up for waiting until Harrison came into her life to relinquish her v-card. 😁😄 It had me chuckling at how eager she was and how insatiable they both were.

“Flip my pages? Seriously? Dear God, we need to work on your sweet talk.”
-- Jessica Solomon

I do like that she puts herself out there without games or manipulation. And I really like how he takes care of her when things don't go as planned.

There are some inaccuracies related to professional hockey and playoffs. If you don't know much about the NHL, it may go unnoticed.

Violet Rae's Ice Storm is an entertaining, passionate, swoon-y age-gap instalove romance. When PA Jessica literally runs into New York Storm's enforcer Harrison, they both experience a hit-by-lightning moment. Palpable, sizzling chemistry; an awesome cast of supporting characters; and a very steamy love story make Harrison and Jess' romance a must-read.

I hate to say I've only really discovered Ms Rae recently, but she has quickly become one of my favourite authors. Well-written, entertaining, steamy romance at its best!.

This book focuses on Harrison and Jessica. Harrison is an enforcer for the Ice Giants hockey team until he is let go from the team at the end of the season. Jessica works PR for her brother and sister in law and knows absolutely nothing about hockey or hockey players. When they crash into each other when she is visiting the rink, there is an instant attraction and connection between the two and they fall hard and fast for each other. This was a great, quick read!

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I always enjoy reading the short, sweet, instant attraction romances that Violet writes. Harrison and Jessica's story is no exception. The day he gets bad news about his career, his life turns around because of Jessica. These two have a reaction to each other that's comical but heats up fast. She knew she had finally met someone special in Harrison. I really enjoyed the storyline and it wasn't complicated with much drama. The characters, leading and supporting, made for a great story.

Jessica and Harrison were wonderful together. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between Jessica and Harrison. These two are drawn together and have a 0 to 60 relationship but Harrison has been hurt in the past and that past is coming back to haunt him. These two have up and downs to get through but Jessica and Harrison get a really sweet and much deserved HEA.

Great follow-up book after reading about Mac and Harmony. I liked Jessica more than Harrison. He seemed very self-destructive in the way he reacted with his job and then with other decisions he made throughout the book. Jessica was great and together they were terrific.

Harrison is a pro hockey player and meets Jessica one day at the arena after he crashes into her. He is instantly smitten but a bad prior relationship made him cautious. But the heart wants the heart gets😉 Insta-love , sweet, fun to read, steamy, romantic and safe with a bit OW drama(just a misunderstanding really 🤷🏻‍♀️) but with a sweet HEA😍😍😍😍

Build up was great.

This is a cute hockey romance. What happens when you assume. It makes an @$$ out of you. And that's what it did to Harrison. He is lucky Jessica is awesome. But I did love the build up for this couple.

A sweet book - the meet cute between Harrison and Jess when she tries to find the ticket office. He's not into much hype, but he wants to see Jess again so he goes to the fund raiser. There was a lot of family cross over in this, and I struggled a bit to keep it in line, but that might have just been me, as I found my mind wandering a bit while reading this. But that moment when he saw her with his ex and jumped to a massive conclusion - I was glad to see Jess stand up to him, but also forgive him. At least he pulled his head out quickly.

I am not a massive fan of insta-love, but this was a bit more insta lust which is fine.
