There will be a lot more colour in the Emerald Hills area soon.
Sephora is opening its first Sherwood Park location and has chosen the Emerald Hills Centre as the spot.
“Sephora is an iconic global brand that will contribute significantly to the prominence and appeal of the centre,” explained Debora Mathias, general manager of Shape properties, which is in charge of Emerald Hills Centre. “Not only will Sephora draw visitors from across the community, it signals the calibre of retail brands that we’re aiming to bring to Emerald Hills in the future.”
Mathias said Shape is in complete alignment with Sephora’s values of inclusivity, innovation and elite customer service.
“We’re excited to welcome Sephora to Emerald Hills so we can create the highest level of experiences,” she said.
Sephora launched in North America more than 20 years ago and offers more than 340 carefully curated brands of makeup and beauty products.
The Emerald Hills location will see the store open near Marshall’s and Sport Check.
The store is a ways away from being able to open to the public as Mathias said contractors are currently performing the build-out of the space.
There is no word yet on exactly when Sephora Emerald Hills will open but Mathias believes it will be a popular spot.
“Every great community needs a hub, which is what Emerald Hills Centre provides for Sherwood Park,” Mathias said. “With development over 90 per cent complete, the centre will soon include 859,000 square feet of retail space – from everyday staples like Sport Check, Golf Town, Walmart and Canadian Tire to celebrated eateries like The Keg Steakhouse and Bar.”
She adds that more restaurants, fashion brands and quick services eateries will be joining the area.
Mathias said Sherwood Park is a very attractive place for businesses.
“Strathcona County’s Sherwood Park is an increasingly appealing place for people of all ages, cultures and lifestyles. The hospital, high school, leisure centre, sports pavilion and Emerald Hills regional Park are top-tier amenities that we’re grateful to be among,” Mathias said. “The continued investment in infrastructure, services and recreational facilities solidifies that the community will flourish for many generations to come.”
