Estranged Parents YouTube Channel Interview Application
Hi!

We're always looking for guests to interview with us for our Estranged Parents YouTube channel. Sharing is caring, and we want to give estranged parents different perspectives and information to help them cope with and heal from their suffering. Interviews are unpaid, but we do offer estranged parent guests one year access to our community.

These are folks we'd generally like to interview:
  • Estranged parents
  • Estranged adult children
  • Authors, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists and other experts
How to Apply
  1. Submit the short questionnaire below. 
  2. Sign our media release.
  3. Optionally review the questions we are likely to ask.
  4. If we'd like to interview you, we will email you our calendly link so you can schedule a time for your interview.
  5. If you have questions, contact us or wait to ask during the interview.
The Interview Process
  1. We've found it is more efficient to combine a first-time meet and greet call with the interview. 
  2. We'll chat briefly on the call to get to know each other, ask questions, and determine if we each wish to proceed with the interview, and then we jump right into it.
  3. Interview calls can last up to 60 minutes, sometimes longer.
  4. The interview will be recorded (not live), then edited for publication.
  5. We are using https://riverside.fm (similar to Zoom but intended for recording highly quality interviews). You will NOT need an account. We'll send you a link to join the interview call.
  6. Technology: You must have and use modern computer or mobile device with reliable high-speed internet, and a webcam that supports 720p or better. If you use a mobile device you must use a tripod or other means to keep the camera steady during the interview (do not hold it).
  7. Please look presentable, business casual attire, makeup if desired.
  8. Your background should be simple, uncluttered, well lit, and free of distractions. There is no AI to hide your background with this service.
  9. Make sure your mic is high quality (we'll test during the call).
  10. Remove pets, children, and spouse to avoid disruptions. 
  11. Come to your interview ready to go!
