Why are the cocky ones always the hardest to resist?

Because this man . . . this man is temptation personified. He’s six feet, four inches of rock-solid, golden muscles that are inked to perfection and proudly displayed every time he steps into the cage. And I’m the idiot who agreed to stay with him for the next few days.

Hudson “The King” Kingston knew he had a fight coming up when he risked himself to save me. How could I say no when he needed a friend to help him out?
Because that’s exactly what we’ve always been—friends.

Friends who flirt.
Friends who tease.
Friends who never cross that line.
Ever.

The problem is the more time we spend together, the more things shift between us. But no matter how much I wish he could be my first, he’s never been a relationship guy, and I refuse to settle for anything less.

I know I can trust him with my life, but can I trust him with my heart?

Story: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: workplace romance, forced proximity
Angst: 😱😱😱
Smexy: 🔥🔥🔥

Wonderfully sweet romance with the perfect amount of angst and a dash of suspense. Bella Matthews' Restless King series was a complete hit for me, so I couldn't wait to get into this latest King sibling story ❤️. There just always something about the reformed man-ho who finally makes a move on the good girl in his life. Maddie is a good girl who's been skittish about relationships, but is having a difficult time keeping her good girl thoughts about Hudson - especially when their shacked up together after an accident. Caged gives us wonderful characters we can't wait to see more of, a fast paced storyline, and a bit of steam to warm you up. Just a fabulous book in what's bound to be an awesome series!

Tropes:
- friends to lovers
- virgin fmc
- sports (mma fighter)
- forced proximity, kinda

Hudson Kingston, renowned MMA fighter and notorious ladies man, has been flirting and pining after Maddie Dixon, one of the yoga instructors at the gym he trains in, for the last three years. Despite his feelings and attraction to her, Hudson had kept things strictly friendly between him and the standoffish Maddie, knowing that any romance between them is end game and he's nowhere near ready for that.

When a break in at the gym leaves Hudson hurt, Maddie spends the next few days at his home upon his and his family's insistence. Someone needs to keep an eye on Hudson to make sure he heals ok, and he wants her close to make sure she's safe. The more time spent together in such close quarters, the closer the pair grow and their feelings for each other become harder to resist.

I knew Hudson and Maddie's story would end with a HEA, but lord this was a roller coaster. Hudson was such a sweetheart, and I loved that despite how much more "experienced" he is than Maddie that he never pressured her or rushed her into something she wasn't ready for. He was so supportive and understanding of her trauma, and his need to protect and love her had me swooning.

While Maddie is often shy and quiet, she wasn't afraid to put Hudson or his brothers in their place when need be, and I loved seeing her come out of her shell and become more comfortable with herself (and touch) the more she spent time with Hudson and his crazy family. I felt like her and Hudson were super well balanced, and that she wasn't the only vulnerable character like some romances depict their fmc. She's tough and she ended up being as much of an anchor for Hudson as he was for her.

Loved this!

Great beginning, but then it fell flat. A lot of filler scenes. A lot about the family. A lot about nothing. They already know each other when the story starts. There was something that happens towards the end, but it is a situation that Hudson has to deal with. I guess it was the “drama” that was supposed to test their relationship, but it was not really anything. There was NO OW drama, no cheating. All just tied in a beautiful bow. A bit boring.
Hudson is a MMA fighter. She is a yoga instructor who also does social media consulting.

This book took me almost 2 weeks to read bc it just wasn’t enjoyable. I finished 3 other books during that time bc I kept reading all my other DNFd books rather than finish this one.

But I finally got through it and it just wasn’t enjoyable and then when you thought finally almost the end, wrong, it has this terrible drama piece towards the end that was unneeded and ridiculous.

I was lucky enough to get this book as an ARC (my first one, eek!) and let me tell you, it was everything I wanted to read wrapped in a delight of a story! I tried to be mindful of too many spoilers but marking it just in case I let something slip.

Caged follows Maddie Dixon, a yoga instructor and a social media manager, and Hudson Kingston aka King, a MMA fighter. They are friends, both of them orbiting one another amongst a tight group of family and friends (Maddie’s best friend is married to one of Hudson’s brothers) and working/training in the same gym. There is this strong chemistry between the two main characters and it’s evident from the first pages of the story.

Hudson comes from a large family (9 siblings!) and all of them and their partners pop in and out of the story and while the names and nicknames do get a little confusing at times, it’s easy enough to follow who is who as the story progresses. I was interested in finding more about the Kingston family as a whole and how couples came to be and I can’t wait for more books from this series. I also want more from Maddie’s brother and her friends. This universe has truly swept me away!

But. Back to Caged.

So we have some friends to lovers / idiots to lovers action which I love. We have some forced proximity in closed quarters which is adorable and hot since it’s very literal in a sense at one point and personal growth mixed in to create a perfect package. We have tension, we have chemistry and we have feels. Without giving too much away, at the 20-ish percent mark I was screaming for Hudson to sweep Maddie to a scorching kiss and feeling frustrated in the best way possible when they didn’t give in to those desires. Grrrrrr! Got to love that burn while it simmers. The wait was worth it though. So worth it.

I adored Maddie completely! She’s a firecracker and not afraid to stand up to herself. I think she even said at some point that being silent doesn’t mean being a doormat and it describes her perfectly. I loved watching her stand up to fight for what she loves and who she cares about. She isn’t going to back down from a challenge and it’s perfect to witness. She has her own scars and battles to carry but the way she opens up about them to is so well done.

Hudson is an amazing mix of cocky and serious. His lines made me laugh but I loved exploring the depths of his mind and his character and I will always, always swoon for a man protecting his love. He definitely knows his strengths and is confident he has what it takes to keep his title as the champion but doesn’t come off too arrogant. Like he’s just the right amount of it, knowing he’s worked to get where he is but not forgetting the work that keeps him at the top.

You know the moment in romance books where the other shoe drops so to speak? I did not see that particular shoe drop happen and it was glorious! That’s all I’ll say about it but it was probably one of my favorite twists I have read. It made me root for these two even more! And the way the b-plot was wrapped up was so satisfying. I was worried for a second it was left out but I’m glad I got to see the conclusion to that also. Mmmm, so good.

All in all, I really loved this story and couldn’t put it down. I just wanted to keep reading and finding out more about our lovely couple and the side characters. This was a complete delight worth all the stars ⭐️❤️

I LOVED this book. Hudson and Maddie were just so perfect for one another, and I loved that Hudson couldn't keep his hands to himself, even when he knew he should. These two were just goals, honestly, and completed each other in the best of ways!

I've only read a handful of this authors work, but I'm going to make a point and read all I can to get everyone's perspective of this couple. That's how much I loved them. Hudson is a MMA fighter getting ready to defend his championship, and Maddie teaches yoga at the gym his family owns and he trains at. They've been friends for years, and although there has always been an underlining connection and sexual chemistry, they've always stayed in their lanes.. until Maddie becomes in danger and has to stay with Hudson (who ultimately got hurt defending her) lines are now getting blurry, and Maddie is wondering why she keeps Hudson at a distance, and if she can ever overcome her past to be what he need.

As much as I loved Maddie, I absolutely adored Hudson. I loved how gentle he was with her, and how he was the only one who could touch her, and her enjoy it. They had such a special connection, and although they had a fast paced relationship, it all just felt so *right*. I honestly love these two so much!

I can't wait for more in the defiant kings series! This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine!

Well here’s another Kingston to fall in love with! Hudson Kingston brought the sweet and the spice to his love story with Maddie.

If you are looking for:

Friends to lovers ✔️
Lovable MMC (who is pierced 😍) ✔️
Virgin FMC ✔️
MMA fighter ✔️
Huge family banter ✔️

Hudson Kingston is a MMA fighter with the maturity of a high schooler when it comes to his love life. He has never wanted more than one night and has never wanted to go further than sex itself. No sleepovers. Nothing.

Maddie Dixon has had a rough life and her story is very tragic when we find out what she went through. She does not like being touched. And in the three years since she has known Hudson, he has been slowly breaking that barrier.

When Hudson gets hurt after a break in at the gym that he trains at and Maddie works at, 9 days before his next fight, Maddie is tasked with taking care of him. No problem, right? Wrong. Because both Maddie and Hudson have been harboring feelings for each other, but never acted on them.

Before a fight, Hudson’s rules are no drama, no booze, no girls. And boy does he break one of those rules when the attraction becomes too much. But the questions remain. Will Hudson be able to give Maddie what she deserves and not just one night of fun? And will Maddie be able to overcome her no touching barrier that she has and allow Hudson in completely?

These two were so flipping adorable! I saw a lot of Cooper and Carys’s relationship in Hudson and Maddie and that was great with me because I love Cooper and Carys.

As usual we get all of the Kingston’s in this book plus Maddie’s friend group! If you haven’t read the prior books, I could see one getting overwhelmed by the amount of siblings and friends introduced, plus their significant others and their kids. But I love the banter that they have in person and through their text messages.

I really appreciated the progression of Hudson and Maddie’s relationship. He never pressured her to move faster and she made it known when she was ready for more. Once they finally got together, their love and attraction was explosive. And you could tell that they weren’t going to last long as just dating.

Looking forward to the next 3 books in the series to see the rest of the Kingston brothers get their HEAs!

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Note 2: This is a series. All books are standalones.

Triggers: something to do with not wanting to be touched (not sure if it's due to an assault or something else), fatal overdose, abandonment, death by brain aneurysm.

This was one of my first Bella Matthews books. And I absolutely loved being on the ride in the journey of Hudson and Maddie's story.

Now I know some reviewers were saying it doesn't sound like friends to lovers, but I really believe it does. I mean they already have a dynamic going, and it kinda reminds me of the dynamic that I used to have with a couple of my own guy friends - but my story with them wasn't like Hudson or Maddie's haha. - so yes you can see a little bit of friendship though it may scream more romance to you.

Plus their entire group dynamic is on fire. And it made me wish I could send an adoption application to them, because you know why wouldn't I want to be a part of their amazing dynamic and their incredibly supportive system? I was just so down for that.

And plus their own little routines in life - I enjoyed that. I loved learning about MMA, and her social media management policies and whatnot.

Plus their entire banter and all - though I do agree a backstory as to how they met would've been nice. I do get their separate backstories but their combined one would've been nice as well.

Also her history of not enjoying being touched...hmm. I was wondering about that too - and it never really gets cleared up. Something which I feel should've been addressed, considering in 80% of the story, it is mentioned.

Overall, I loved being in Huddy and Maddie's world. And the whole supportive group dynamics as well. And the chemistry and romance that lingers - also touching base on heavy topics like addiction, not having a stable childhood, death by brain aneurysm - would've been nice if it was a little more into detail.

But I enjoyed this story!

And I am excited for Shaken - Sawyer's story coming October 2023!

Cannot wait.

Until the next read,

Hudson and Maddie have been flirting with each other for the last three years. She teaches yoga at the MMA gym that he trains at. She is the good girl looking for forever and not finding even a right now. Hudson knows he wants forever eventually but he is having fun being the MMA champion right now. When Hudson is injured weeks before a title fight, Maddie is voluntold to stay with him to help him and make sure he stays off his feet. When these two are forced to stay under the same roof they can no longer deny their pull to each other.

I loved these two so much. I loved them individually and as a couple. They complement and balance each other so perfectly - they truly are perfect for each other. I loved all the twists and turns this one took. I was not expecting that. I was not expecting for Hudson to make me cry all the tears. I wasn't expecting Maddie to be such an amazing rock. These two surprised me at each step they took. Truly loved them. I do think that there were aspects that were underdeveloped and wished that we got more on those things but it didn't take away from my love for Hudson and Maddie. Great start to this new series. Can't wait to see where the rest of the Kings take us.

This is a friend to lovers with a manwhore hero so maybe that's why I dnfed it but it was just mentioned in this book. Thank god we didn't have to see his manwhor-ish ways. He is all about h from the first page.

I really loved the h in this one. How she didn't let him push her away in the end which could have resulted in third act breakup.

“You own my heart.”

Oh my wow!! This butterfly-fluttering, swoon-filled sports romance swept me right in the feels, as the alphalicious hero stole my heart, and I was powerless to stop the seduction of this story. Caged brims with heat, heart, humor, and a hero who will bring you to your knees. I fell fast in love with this fighter romance full of feels. The more I read, the harder I fell.

This friends-to-lovers romance stars a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter hero and the stunning heroine who are perfection together. I could feel the love of the sport as Caged took me to the ring where I was in the stands cheering on “The King.” The hero, heroine, and their family and friends owned my heart the whole time reading.

Hudson “The King” Kingston despite the playboy persona, is a protective, panty-melting god who’s equally sexy, strong, and sweet … the ultimate hero. The heroine, Maddie Dixon, is beautiful and bold inside and out. Together, Maddie and Hudson make each other stronger … make each other whole. I felt their combustible chemistry and powerful pull ... that inevitable emotional connection of soulmates.

This thrilling and touching tale tugged at my heart every step of the way. I smiled, swooned, smoldered, and felt the burning angst. I felt that heart-to-soul rush while reading. I FELT EVERYTHING! This heart-hitting romance swept me away. I want to be Caged again.

Freaking loved this!

~Brought together by a (friend/family) marriage, Hudson and Maddie become fast friends despite how different they are. When Hud saves her from from being attacked and is hurt himself, Maddie agrees stay and take care of him. The only problem is not falling for the playboy while living under the same roof.~

Maddie is such a sweetheart! She seems like a quiet lil mouse but she gets fierce when she’s fighting for those she loves. I loved her relationship with her brother.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Hudson as I’m not really a fan of playboys but he was actually really tame. He comes off douchey to others but he’s actually so sweet with Maddie.

I freaking adored them!! The ending was beautiful. 😭😍😍

I don't think I would ever tire of Kroydon Hills and the Kingstons, so I was super excited when we get another story about one of the siblings in this prolific family.

This time, we get Hudson's love story..and it did not disappoint.

Everyone thinks that Hudson Kingston's only love is the MMA ring. Sure, the fighting champ adores his big family, too, but when it comes to women outside the family and friends, he is firmly not a commitment kind of guy. That is, until Madison Dixon.

When Hudson gets injured while trying to save Maddie, she ends up having to babysit him for a few days. The close proximity ignites the simmering tension between them, but Maddie is a long-term kind of gal. Can Hudson be the man that she is looking for?

I love these two so much. Hudson and Maddie's connection even as friends had me hooked with their flirting and banter. The more they resisted the pull toward being lovers, the more the tension grew, and I could not turn the pages quickly enough to find out what happens next.

Like I said, I cannot get enough of the Kingston family. The wonderful dynamic between siblings and their extended families are always entertaining. When they come together to have each other's backs also pulls at your heartstrings.

This is the first book of a new series, and it can be read as a standalone. It does refer to characters from Bella Matthew's previous series but you get plenty of context to understand who they are.

** I am voluntarily reviewing an advance copy of this book. Thank you to Bella Matthews and Literally Yours PR for providing an ARC. **

This book was a quick and kinda entertaining read.
There was A LOT of family time which was a bit confusing because Hudson has 9 siblings I think. And they all have partners and kids, so a lot of names to remember… Sometimes it was too much because there was more family time than relationship building between Hudson and Maddie. Of course it‘s nice to include the family in the story but overall it‘s a lovestory and to be honest I didn‘t care about his siblings.
From these 264 pages there are more than 100 pages ONLY about his siblings and their whole family relationship - nice to know, but I don‘t care. Yeah I liked his siblings and this big, chaotic family but from what I know each of them has an own book so it‘s unnecessary to give them that much space in Hudson‘s story.
I liked this story but the potential was so much bigger.

Seriously, can Bella Matthews have designed a more wonderful character line-up and universe? Nope. No one does it like Bella does it. I’m convinced.

Maddie and Hudson. Whew. A slow burn, that had me finishing this book in basically one sitting. Hudson has never been one to settle or keep a girl around, but when it comes to Maddie he continues to feel drawn to her. Maddie doesn’t like to be touched, is particular about people being in her space, and is also.. a virgin. Yet somehow she is equally drawn into Hudson, feeling safe and protected in a way she has never before (or rather a “little ho” while she sleeps and drapes herself on Hudson). After a scary incident at the gym, they’ve been cooped up together for a few days. Boundaries have been crossed and they definitely cannot go back. With Hudson’s big fight coming up, there’s pressure from a lot of angles. The one thing that stays true throughout is their commitment to one another.

I think my favorite line from the whole book was “And like a moth to a flame, I throw caution to the wind and walk into the room.” It not only made me laugh, but it resonated with me during the book. Going out of your comfort zone, doing something you never have… all for the greatest gift. Love.

Thank you so much to Bella Matthews and Social Butterfly PR for letting me read the book a little early for my honest review.

You can find this review of Caged on my blog, Heart’s Content!

A big shoutout to SocialButterfly PR and the author for including me in the blog tour and providing me with an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!

Caged sounded like the perfect read to sign up for to break me out of my little slump. Spoiler: I was right. Caged is a sweet book wrapped with a thick layer of sweetness and served with a side of some more sweets. The book has a lot of heart and that shines through from the very beginning.

Caged is a modest sized book that you can read in one sitting very easily. It’s the perfect slump-wrecker. The book has you in its gentle hold from the very beginning and the pace and characters work well in tandem to keep you interested and going. Maddie and Hudson take turns sharing POVs in the book and they’re both honest, lovely and kind characters. Honestly, I enjoyed the book for not being a typical break-the-characters-up-for-some-angst kind of read.

The secondary characters are aplenty. When I signed up for Caged I had no idea that the book was a spin off of the Restless Kings series. Yes, you can very well read it as a standalone, however I highly highly recommend reading it after reading the RK series because the connections between the characters, the history they share, the inside jokes and love will be better when read in order. I struggled a bit with placing the gigantic secondary character cast; but I loved all of them very very much. The friendships, kinship. family and love is one of the best parts of the book. An important mention for me is the portrayal of the hero and girl best friend (who is not the heroine) relationship. I’m crying for how grateful I am for it being done well.

My only struggle with the book may be the resolution of the plot knots. There were perhaps two or three major plot knots that were initially introduced in the book and one of them was resolved a little suddenly without too much build up to it, the others were a little smudged over. BUT, the last plot knot that was very very interesting and I liked that it was introduced and I even more liked how graciously it was handled by one of the characters.

Four stars! KU subscribers, you are the winners of the book-world!

This entire book was one entire Disney tv show celebrity guest star appearances after another. If you didn’t read any of the other books regarding the rest of the H’s family then you’re screwed bc they get more “screen” time than the MCs do. Seriously the book focused more on the other family members than paying any attention to the weak plot of this book (seriously what happened to the scary intruder at the beginning of the book??)

And also, MMA fights that last .2 seconds are lame. There’s no sport to watch and thousands of people just wasted their money to see the opponents throw one single shot at each other.

Stand-alone: Yes**
Author: Bella Matthews
Rating: 5/5 ⭐️
Spiciness Rating: 3/5 🌶
POV: First Person Dual Perspective
Main Couple: Hudson and Madison
Trope(s): Friends to Lovers, MMA Romance, Virgin Heroine, Protector, Forced Proximity

Caged is Book One in the Defiant Kings Interconnected Standalone Series. So, Bella is giving us more Kingston goodness. Her series books can be read independently of one another, but this codependent family, or gremlins as Maddie would refer to them, is worth the deep dive. Hudson is strong and fierce, but when it comes to Maddie he is gentle and patient. This is a low angst read, both of them have their issues that stem from their childhoods, but ultimately the last three years of flirting around the issues has just been foreplay. With Hudson Maddie feels safe, able to be herself, and let her inhibitions go. The build up in this book hits that sweet spot. With every book my obsession with this family grows. Bella sure knows how to suck a girl in.

Madison runs a social management business by day and teaches yoga by night at Crucible. Giving her loads of access to her crush. Single by choice because Madison has childhood trauma all over her. Orphaned young, Madison and her brother Brandon spent years in the foster system. Despite her life being intertwined with the Kingston’s for years, Madison still feels as if she does not belong.

Hudson “The King” Kingston MMA Champion, total flirt, manwhore and one of Madison's close friends. He comes to her aid one night and is injured in the process just weeks before he is defending his title. Now they find themselves together in Hudson’s home. Madison so she isn’t alone until Brandon returns from London and Hudson so he follows the doctor’s and Cade’s rules.

Now the box Madison has placed Hudson in is very cramped. And, she is the only woman who has tempted Hudson to want more.

What if what they needed was right in front of them the last three years? What if they gave into that sweet temptation that has edged them from the start?

With every book, I just fall deeper in love with the Kingstons!! Hudson is the newest one that has stolen my heart (don’t tell Sam). Their loyalty, codependency, banter, fight, love…I am seriously obsessed with this family. At this point, I don’t even need a blurb, if it involves the Kingston family sign me up immediately!

Hudson Kingston was a sweet charmer with a wickedly dirty mouth. I love how multifaceted he was. He was this playboy reputation but his heart though. When he fell, he fell hard…once he had his sights set on Maddie it was game over. No one or nothing would stand in the way of him getting his woman. He was also patient and understanding. I loved how he was able to just read Maddie without a single word being uttered between them.
Maddie Dixon, the ray of sunshine that would brightened Hudson’s world in the most unimaginable of ways. She was truly a sweetheart but don’t let the innocent look fool you. Maddie was no pushover and if she had something to say, she would no matter who it was. She wouldn’t be babied or backed into a corner. I lived for her fierceness.

“𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐’𝘮 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦.“

Their forced proximity just fueled the fire building between them. Bella wrote that sexual tension with an A1 flawlessness. With a smoldering slow burn to boot. It was like I could literally feel their desire for each other oozing through the pages. Just seeing the way Hudson craved Maddie and how she yearned for him in all the deliciously carnal ways was like catnip, I couldn’t help but eat it up. But, watching these two fall in love had me swooning in all the ways. I was once again up until the wee hours of the morning, forgoing sleep because Bella had me straight hooked and unable to put this book down. A knockout read and I’m already longing for the next Kingston story!

Before its release, Caged was living rent-free in my head. I kept wondering who would be the one to tame playboy flirt, Hudson. I was slightly surprised when I saw Maddie's name on the first page. Until now, we didn’t know much about quiet, reserved Maddie other than she’s extremely loyal to her overprotective brother and part of the Daphne, Carys, and Chloe girl squad.

“Madison Dixon isn’t the kind of girl you take out for a night, knowing it’s only one night. Everything about her screams she’s more than that.”

At first glance, Hudson and Maddie appear to be opposites. He's not a long-term guy, and she's not a one-night-stand kind of girl. Neither held much hope for their mutual attraction, given their differences. However, a few days alone together prove them both wrong and provide all kinds of delicious slow burn sexual tension.

“You’re gonna be my everything, Madison.”

I loved how hard Hudson fell for Maddie. Despite his reputation, Hudson's a really good guy with a big heart. We see this in the patience and tenderness that he continuously shows Maddie. She's the perfect complement to Hudson with her inner strength and sassiness.

Both Maddie and Hudson have personal demons to fight. How they work through their challenges together made me love their story even more.

And, of course, I enjoyed being back in this book world. The large, loud, good intentioned meddling Kingston family is a favorite of mine. The sibling text messages and unannounced visits just add to the specialness of Caged. I can’t wait for the next book in the Defiant Kings series! I wonder which brother is next.

Oh Hudson and Maddie how I adore your story...let me count the ways.

- MMA fighter
- Virgin Heroine
- Protective, honourable and gorgeous alpha
- Strong, driven, quiet yet strong-willed female
- Surprises galore
- overinvolved and yet loving family ... On both sides
- Amazing Friends
- Hilarious banter
- Sweetness,
- Sexy times
- connection

....and those things are off the the top of my head the list could go on and on...

Hudson is very much a man dreams are made of...even when you want to smack him around the back of the head he's lovable. Maddie is a fabulously confident, beautiful, exceptional woman who has a heartbreaking past.

The storyline is heart stopping, heart breaking, heart warming, beautiful and unpredictable.

From the laughs, to the swear words, to the near tears, to the heat, to the heart clenching goodness, each page gets better and better. The pace is phenomenal and the build is beyond brilliant.

This book absolutely needs to be devoured in one sitting ( if you can) or as few a sittings as possible. Don't forget your comfort items...yes for me this means ice cream, wine, chocolate and a throw...you can choose yours...you will need them.

Hudson and Maddie are adorably perfect for each other.
I knew there was a reason he was my favourite Kingston...although I cannot wait to see what else awaits the Kingston siblings.

*Cage fighter
*Strong big family
*Friends to lovers
*Forced proximity
*He falls first

This book is fire! Maddie and Hud have such great chemistry right out of the gates. They start as friends at the gym with flirting from Hudson, because he is a man wh0re. After some strong hands from his family and forced proximity due to an incident at the gym, Madison finds herself spending more time with Hudson than she planned. He wants her but has to live by the rules his fighting coach puts into place right before his big fight: No girls, No drama, No booze. This leads to a lot of skirting around the rules, cold nights, and yummy sexual tension. This book was well written, the timing (climax, buildup) was great and a little suspenseful with some sadness. Everything I needed, was done right! I 10 out of 10 recommend it!

I was giving this book as an advanced copy for my honest review.

First book for me by Bella and I received this book as an ARC for my review. I just want to say this will NOT be my last book by Bella.
There was nothing I didn’t like about this book. Hudson Kingston (KING) is an MMA Fighter and Maddie teaches Yoga at the same gym. They have been flirting around each other for quite some time. Maddie was alone in the gym one night when someone breaks in. Hudson happens to come back because he had left his cellphone. He manages to save Maddie but gets hurt in the process. So will they finally give into the flirtation when she agrees to stay with him a few days to help him out and so she isn’t home alone?

This book is amazingly intriguing, relatable and spicy. It has some interesting issues for these 2 characters from on their past they have to overcome.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Caged- Defiant Kings BOOK ONE
BY Bella Mathew’s
ARC READER

Where do I even start!! This book was so hot!! It’s about Hudson Kingston who is a MMA fighter who is dedicated to his career & doesn’t let anyone or anything including a woman get in the way of his title. That is until Maddie the yoga instructor at his family gym becomes a target one night locking up & after this incident things for them start to change. After 3 years of knowing each other & having the same friend circle what will become. Hudson has rules before each fight & one is no women! Will he be able to fight the urge or ruin everything even his title as champion for Maddie?

Will Maddie get her heart broken by this hot MMA fighter who is also filthy rich & the sexiest bachelor in town? It’s a must read and I give it 5 stars.

This books tropes- Force’d proximity, and a steamy slow burn romance. MMA fighter 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
