Hyundai i20 2024.

One of Hyundai’s cheapest cars is getting ready for an update: the new i20 2024 has been shown in photos for the first time.

Automobile company Hyundai has begun testing a restyled version of one of the most affordable cars in its lineup, the Hyundai i20 2024, as evidenced by the first photos of the model from the test.

Hyundai i20 is one of the most compact and at the same time cheapest cars of the South Korean company.

The current generation, the third generation, debuted in 2020, but because of the pandemonium Hyundai had to abandon its plans to present the compact at the Geneva Motor Show, preferring the online debut.

The i20 is already available in many European and beyond markets, and Hyundai engineers are working hard to update it.

We can judge about it by «spy» photos of Hyundai i20 test prototype, which appeared in the Network the day before.

On them the prototype is completely covered with camouflage camouflage, typical for Hyundai, but an important feature is that the model is covered with camouflage completely, not its separate parts.

Normally, a scheduled facelift doesn’t involve major bodywork updates. Unfortunately, the photo shows the model only from the stern side.

We can’t see any features of the upcoming update here, as the dense camouflage perfectly fulfills its function.

Nevertheless, we should expect that the i20 will get new bumpers, radiator grille, as well as front and rear optics.

These details should bring the updated model closer to its «brothers» in the concern.

We should also expect Hyundai to expand personalization options for the i20 by adding additional body colors, wheel design, etc.

On the mechanical side, more than likely, nothing new will happen.

The compact Korean will still be available with petrol engines, some of them will get 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) technology.

Considering the fact that the novelty has just appeared on test trials, and the photos were taken in South Korea, we should expect that the presentation of the car will take place in the middle of next year.
