2023 Women in Football Leadership Conference

The Women in Football Leadership Conference 2023, run by Women Onside, will be held virtually on 25 May 2023 following a successful inaugural conference in 2022.

This year’s theme, “Level Up!”, recognises the efforts being made by women’s football leaders to bring gender equity to football, while also demonstrating the enormous opportunities for new leaders and investors to get involved.

Speakers at the conference will include:

  • Kara Nortman – Co-founder and Board Member, Angel City FC; Managing Partner, Monarch Collective

  • Ebru Köksal CFA – former CEO and Board Member of Turkish Football Club Galatasaray and consultant for UEFA and FIFA; current board member of Australian Professional Leagues

The conference is being generously supported by host partner Deakin University.

The technology tools provided by Deakin will ensure the conference is open to a wide audience while providing opportunities for engagement with current and emerging female football leaders from around Australia and internationally.

Women Onside in partnership with KS Environmental will provide a scholarship program which will fund Women in Football Leadership Conference attendance for a select number of emerging women leaders from the women’s football community.

While we recognise that many in the women’s football community will find the conference registration prices are affordable or will be supported by their club or other organisation we are aware that others will not have such support. Women Onside wants the conference to be financially accessible to a broad range of people.

All current or prospective female football leaders are encouraged to take part in the conference as are others with an interest in women’s football, sports partnerships/sponsorships and those wanting to see women’s sport grow and lead the way across our community.

It's FIFA Women's World Cup year so as co-host, this is an historic and unprecedented year for Australian women's football. Don't miss your chance to be a part of the only conference dedicated to women's football in Australia.

All current or prospective female football leaders are encouraged to take part in the conference. And anyone with an interest in women’s football, sports partnerships/sponsorships and those wanting to see women’s sport grow and lead the way across our community will also greatly benefit.
