Belfast-born Sir John Lavery was one of the most successful artists of his day. In 1929, he donated a substantial body of his work to the then-Belfast Museum and Art Gallery. In this free talk, Amanda Croft will trace the glittering career of the artist by looking at his development as a landscapist, portraitist and war artist, using different Lavery works as a reference point.
