Great accounting on how islands are formed and how life comes to newly formed islands.

Interesting without being overwhelming. It uses black with a calming blue and green for it's illustrations. I hadn't really thought about the progression of plant and animal life on a new island and what types of species would, and would not, be found on an island. The most interesting part to me was the explanation of why you eventually find species that are no where else. The lack of others to mate with make certain traits more dominant over time or others disappear.
