The European Innovation Council (EIC) goes to GITEX AFRICA 2024 and invites you to submit your application to be part of the European Pavilion. The leading exhibition will take place from 29 to 31 May 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco and it is set to unite the tech world in the fast-growing tech scene in AFRICA with the year's biggest showcase of enterprise solutions in the continent.

GITEX constitutes the most influential meeting place for the technology industry, bringing together thought leaders and innovators to discuss, debate and challenge current sector trends, showcase revolutionary products and identify future opportunities.
GITEX AFRICA’ edition – the continent’s largest technology and startup event, featuring 900+ participating big tech enterprises, SMEs, and startups provides a strong business platform for tech giants, creative start-ups, and enterprises. The tech scene in Africa is rapidly advancing and changing at an exceptional rate. This impactful Pan-African event brought together government entities, trade visitors from 128 countries, and leading investors and VCs.
For EIC’ first participation in the GITEX Africa, 5 selected EIC beneficiaries will showcase and explore the latest technologies, meet international leaders and discuss new ideas from Digital Health, Smart Manufacturing, and Agritech.
If you are interested in pitching your advanced innovations in AFRICA, establish strategic partnerships and leverage business opportunities globally, GITEX AFRICA 2024 is an ideal tradeshow for interaction and networking.
What’s in it for you?
EIC-funded SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups, who will be selected to attend GITEX AFRICA 2024, will have access to business services, including pitching, a free booth to exhibit their innovations within the European Pavilion and mentoring services. Please be informed that the reimbursement of expenses is not included.

GITEX AFRICA 2024 is looking for EIC-funded SMEs, start-ups and scale-ups working on innovative technologies in the following fields:
- Smart Cities & Artificial Intelligence
- Digital Health
- Smart Manufacturing
- Energy
- AgriTech
- Telecom & 5G

You will be assessed on the following criteria:
- Your plan to internationalise your innovative products and services overseas.
- The expected impact of your participation to the trade fair.
- The fit of your innovative products and services with the trade fair.
- Your commitment of financial and human resources for participation to a trade fair.
- Your contribution to EU strategic autonomy and/or the image of the EU as technology powerhouse.
Please notice that the information you provide on the application form might be shared with external experts in order to maximise potential benefits and ensure the effectiveness of meetings.
The EIC team will contact all applicants around mid of March, once the selection process has been concluded and inform each applicant of the outcome of their application.

Cancellation policy
Once selected and confirmed for the programme, cancellations will only be considered in duly documented cases of “force majeure”. Unjustified cancellation can lead to exclusion in future EIC Business Acceleration Services initiatives.
