CITT/ICTS is the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology which is a not-for-profit national association that actively promotes the professional development of its members and works for the betterment of the Canadian live performance community. CITT/ICTS has members from the live entertainment community across Canada and runs 2 major annual events - EXPO-SCÈNE and Rendez-vous, as well as providing  ongoing networking and professional development opportunities to its members.

Speakers:

Jacquie Lazar
 

Jacquie brings over 20 years of professional experience working in the theatre and live entertainment industry. Her career path has included numerous appointments including Front of House Manager, Head Electrician, Assistant Technical Director, Technical Director, Production Manager, and Theatre Manager. Highlights of her extensive career include many seasons working as the Head Electrician at Young People’s Theatre and serving as the Technical Director and Theatre Coordinator for St. Andrew’s College. The latter of which brought accomplishments that included flying students with the Foy flying system in Shakespeare’s, A Midsummer Night's Dream and being part of the producing team that brought Andrean Christmas to the Roy Thompson Hall stage.

She spent six years at York University as the Manager of Performance Facilities for the Faculty of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design, where she managed two theatres, along with several other ancillary artistic spaces. During her tenure at York University, she initiated, with the support of the dedicated theatre staff, major technical upgrades to the artistic spaces including procuring and installing state of the art LED theatrical and house lights. Jacquie also serves as the Chair of the Board for Shadowpath Theatre Productions, a not-for-profit theatre company based out of York Region, whose mandate is to transform everyday spaces into creative places for suburban audiences.

In her spare time Jacquie can be found walking her dog, Skye, enjoying the great outdoors, and reading great books.

In the olden days Jim was a musician and worked  in the magazine publishing industry is a sales capacity

He has spent 45 years in the entertainment  industry as a publisher, editor,  marketing consultant, career coach and seminar/webinar speaker.

He studied marketing, business management and graphic production at Toronto Metropolitan University.  He taught entertainment marketing at Metalworks Institute and entertainment business courses at Mohawk College.

His companies are involved in Entertainment marketing and online publishing, specializing in the entertainment industry
