All is quiet in terms of official city, county or town business for the next week as work resumes after the Christmas holidays.

Medicine Hat and the Town of Redcliff adopted new budgets in the final weeks of 2022, while the county, which last met Dec. 6, will next sit Jan. 10.

City council voted to forego an initial meeting in January, which would typically be held on Jan. 3 considering statutory holidays, and will next meet on Monday, Jan. 16.

City committee business is set to resume the week of Jan. 9.

Redcliff town councillors next convene on their regular meeting day (the second and fourth Mondays of a month), of Jan. 9 as well.

City solid waste and recycling collection will resume on Tuesday after the New Year’s Day statutory holiday is observed on Monday.

There is no Medicine Hat Transit service on stat holidays.
