Harry Van Der Saag signs for Brisbane Roar

Brisbane Roar are excited to confirm the signing of Harry Van Der Saag, who joins the club on a two-year deal ahead of the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season. 

The 24-year-old right back who arrives from Adelaide United is the club’s first confirmed new arrival under Head Coach, Ruben Zadkovich. 

The marauding fullback, who is known for his versatility, work rate and ability going forward started his career at Sydney FC where he made 35 appearances and was part of the club’s 2019/20 double winning side. 

Van Der Saag, who has represented Australia at U23 level spent the past two A-League campaigns on the books of Adelaide United where he appeared 16 times, scoring twice, including a goal against Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium in the final round of the 2023/24 season. 

“I’m very excited to join Brisbane Roar, when I spoke with Ruben (Zadkovich) and his team I was very impressed with what they had to say and I just can’t wait to get started,” Van Der Saag said.  

“Brisbane Roar is a massive club and I want to help get the club back to the top and win some silverware. 

“There is a lot of quality in the playing group that I am looking forward to being a part of.” 

Van Der Saag will link up with his new team mates for the first time when pre season commences in June.
