No Matter your Specialty, we have Sessions for You!  From student to advanced practice physician, practitioner, pharmacist or therapist, you will find a lectures and workshops that fit your practice.  Target Audience:  Open to Physicians (MD, DO, DC), PhD,  Pharmacists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Therapists, and Practice Administrators from pain management, PM&R, anesthesiology, neurology, primary care and psychiatry with a professional interest and/or practice in pain management. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Identify risk factors associated with the initiation or maintenance of chronic opioid therapy.
  2. Provide decision-making strategies that consider non-opioid pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic strategies for management of chronic pain.
  3. Apply evidence-based strategies to clinical practice for managing complex patients with acute and chronic pain
  4. Employ key diagnostic and treatment techniques for the management of pain.
  5. Address common clinical challenges in the management of acute and chronic pain.
  6. Evaluate and debate new trends, techniques, therapies, diagnostic procedures, and the legal issues confronting a NY practitioner in 2023
  7. Apply evidence-based strategies to clinical practice for performing behavioral evaluations for chronic pain patients who are candidates for spinal cord stimulation.
  8. Assemble a valuable network of colleagues active in the field of pain medicine.

JOINT ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Amedco LLC and New York State Pain Society. Amedco LLC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physicians (ACCME) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 14.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Nurses (ANCC) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this activity for a maximum of 14.75 ANCC contact hours.

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians (ACPE) Credit Designation

Amedco LLC designates this activity for a maximum of 14.75 knowledge-based CPE contact hours.

NOTE to Pharmacists: The only official Statement of Credit is the one you pull from CPE Monitor. You must request your certificate within 30 days of your participation in the activity to meet the deadline for submission to CPE Monitor. 

 

Physician Assistants

PAs may claim a maximum of 14.75 Category 1 credits for completing this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.

 

Nurse Practitioners

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education credit. Maximum of 14.75 hours.

 

Nurse Pharmacology Credits

Please note onsite documents for identification of sessions eligible for pharmacotherapeutic hours and self-submit those to your board.  Keep the agenda as a reference in case they have questions. Maximum of 5.00 hours available.

We have a reserved a block of sleeping rooms at the Marriott Westchester Hotel at the discounted rate of $ 179 nt single/double plus tax. MEETING REGISTRATION CANCELATION POLICY

Cancelations received before April 1, 2023 will recieve a full refund less $100/$150 for membership dues.   After April 1, 2023 you may modify your registration and also substitute another individual should you be unable to attend --please contact the Society regarding any substitution.  There are no refunds after April 1, 2023.  If we cannot host the meeting due to a force majuere/Pandemic governmental ruling, we will contact you with either the option of a refund or to transfer your registration to the new dates.
