To the NCSEHE community,

As noted in our Equity Insights Newsletter last December, the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education is entering a new era, following the announcement of our new funding by the Minister for Education, the Hon Jason Clare MP. This includes pivoting towards a focus on ‘what works’ in student equity, including an emphasis on trialling and monitoring student equity initiatives across the sector, while retaining our excellence in equity research and in sourcing and promoting relevant data for the sector.

I am now very pleased to advise you that Professor Shamit Saggar CBE FAcSS has been appointed as the new Director of the NCSEHE. Please see the media announcement here. Professor Saggar will be taking up his position in early July.

In addition, please note that there are currently two senior employment opportunities open at the Centre. The first is for the position of Data Program Director, while the second is for the position of Director, Program Design and Evaluation. Applications for both positions close on 11 May.
