Landowner Workshop: Protecting Your Land from Invasive Plants

Thursday, September 21, 2023
2 pm to 3 pm

Invasive plants are a huge problem for landowners. We can help!

Attend this FREE online workshop to learn about:

  • the threat that invasive plant species pose to the long-term health of your land;
  • how to identify the most common problem species in our area; and
  • how to remove them — and tips to keep them under control (they're tenacious!).

Join us online for the first in a series of landowner workshops intended to help you steward your land.

Scenic Rivers Land Trust has been tackling problematic invasive plant species on our largest conservation easement, Bacon Ridge Natural Area, for the past three years through our Healthy Forests Program.

It's tough work, but we're making progress and making friends along the way.

Now that we're seeing success at Bacon Ridge, we're eager to share what we've learned and connect you with the experts who have helped us through this new online webinar. Presenters include:

  • Sarah Knebel, Executive Director, Scenic Rivers Land Trust
  • Nina Fisher, Save the Trees
  • Francis Smith, Maryland Forest Service

The workshop is FREE, but registration is required by September 20, 2023.

The online meeting link will be sent to you via email upon registering. You must register to receive the meeting link.
