1st Place at Math States Competition
AHS Math Team Wins 1st Place Overall at State Competition
Our top Mathletes students had one of the best competitions of the year, earning the 1st-place as a team at the Florida Association of Mu Alpha Theta, the United States mathematics honor society for high school students, hosted by Nova Southeastern University. Around 500 students competed from many schools across the state, and when it was over, the American Heritage Patriots finished 1st place overall.
90 students from American Heritage Schools, Broward campus, earned 34 individual trophies. With outstanding team performances, they were able to win first place in nearly every division, including 1st Place Team, Sweepstakes, 1st Place Geometry Team, 1st Place Algebra 2 Team, 1st Place Precalculus Team, 1st Place Statistics Team, 2nd Place Algebra 1 Team (7th grade), and 3rd place Calculus Team.
