A new video has been released encouraging tourists to come to Glasgow has been released... And it's certainly showing our city in its best light.

We might be a wee bit biased over at Glasgow Live, but this place has got plenty to offer: From art and design, history and architecture to music, food and drink.

The Spitfire flies at Kelvingrove

The minute-long clip from People Make Glasgow boasts shots of Kelvingrove Museum, the Barras, Glasgow Green and the Cathedral to name but a few well-known spots.

If the toon's not enough for you, it also looks out our huge 'back garden' with sweeping views of Glencoe and Loch Lomond. There really is no reason to leave...

We've racked up quite a CV over the last year too: Named as the UK’s Top Cultural and Creative City, UK’s first UNESCO City of Music and the world's top festival and event destination.

Not to mention we were ranked the second friendliest city in the UK in 2019 (narrowly beaten to the top spot by Newcastle, sadly).

Speaking about our world-renowned Glaswegian welcome, People Make Glasgow had this to say: "From taxi drivers to tour guides, whether chatting to creators at weekend markets or to locals in whisky bars – you'll discover a distinctive personality that is rooted in earthy Scottishness and energised with a progressive urban outlook."

They also Glasgow as combining "the earthiness of a historic nation with the flair of a city on the rise." We'll take that.

In case anyone needs persuading, check out the video above.
