VARIETY: The 1982 play Ma Rainey's Black Bottom is now an amazing 2020 film starring Viola Davis and the late Chadwick Boseman, and the '20s details are incredible. In fact, the movie's hairstyles, in order to reflect the fashions of the day, were enhanced with horsehair.
